I recently picked up a neo link to replace my aging Rift S as the neo link has display port connection.

I used to use apps like big screen and deovr to watch films with my friends and I was wondering if I need to use Steam VR and then open the app to get the max ​​​​quality viewing experience, or can I just use apps like deovr from the pico dash and have the same quality low latency viewing experience?
