I battled with this daily recently. Finally found this fix after digging and digging!. So when the update happened it changed your settings on the game side. It caused your low power mode to be activated under 100%. Here’s the fix.
While in the game (cod).
Go to settings.
Graphics.
Scroll down to bottom you will see “Auto-Activate Low Battery Mode” .
Change it from 100 to 11.
Also make sure “ Low battery Mode” above it is OFF.
That’s the fix. The update increased it to 100 which means you’re in low battery mode at 99% and under, and is ridiculous.

Microsoft silently pushed a feature flag called "Controller-First UX" (Feature ID: 58989070). It breaks the Desktop Window Manager (DWM) geometry for small dialog boxes on touchscreens, forcing them to maximize.
How to fix:
The bug will be completely gone, and your properties windows will open normally again.
Hope this saves someone's sanity!
Did some testing and it’s been 24 hours since this corruption start and i’m glad to say it’s over . FOR ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS ISSUE OR FREEZING DURING THE GAMEPLAY IN DESKTOP MODE REMOVE THIS UPDATE (KB5095189) and any other newer update that’s available to unistall .and restart device you should be back in good hands. Thank me later i stayed up 2 days straight thinking i bricked my ally

*UPDATE* Cloud recovery and update fixed it windows are now opening normal & no display issues. but i am turning off xbox startup mode first thing! but everything is back to normal just gotta enable cloud play through steam and startoff where i left off. i believe this is a software glitch or display glitch within last update or some ive been seeing alot of people run into this with no solution because this also happened on my z1 extreme and i only use that for browsing and youtube .. now will cloud recovery that one next
