Live Techno Artists With Their Own Distinctive Styles?

Hey, I'm looking for recommendations for live techno artists; those building music in real time using modular, drum machines, synths, ableton/bitwig. People like Richie Hawtins, Dubfire, Collin Benders, etc.

It seems that DJ sets are also considered live, as that's what most search results are given. While they are technically, they're not what I'm looking for.

Can you recommend any recently-emerging artists? Those who bring something unique to the table?

Thank you

A spare printer has been my best purchase

This thing broke; The extruder idler arm. And I couldn't feed my filament because of it.

To buy it, the cheapest option would be from <our favorite website> but it would take a while. Or, I could buy it locally, for like 15 bucks...? For this tiny, stupid thing?

And that's when I remembered, I actually had an old ender lying around. I bought it for parts when my fan broke at night... Stores were closed, but the guy was selling it locally for 15 bucks. So with fingers crossed, I opened up the extruder and voila. It fits.

And that's why a spare printer has actually been my best purchase yet. I'm more than happy to order overseas for upgrades but for immediate fixes, I think they are essential.

Soldered the switches upside down🥲

I'm building a Sofle RGB MX and was following a Sofle V2 tutorial. It was only after I soldered all my switches did I realize they should face the other way 😅

Just a friendly reminder to thoroughly read the documentation, I guess?

I want to make modular synthesisers. I have the tools and skillset but don't know where to start.

Hey guys. After having used VCV rack for 2-3 years, I am finally transitioning to hardware modular. And as their individual prices are very expensive, I invested the time and money into learning soldering, basic electronics, and 3d printing so that I can make my own modules.

And while this process of learning was very fun, I did face a lot of headaches. For example, As I bought an old and cheap 3D printer, there was so much to learn that I might've as well a college course for it. And that really got me thinking that I'd really appreciate a sort of "curriculum" for my step into DIY modular synths.

So if there is literally a course for DIY modular, I'd really appreciate that... If not, a book? Or a YouTube channel that walks you through it from A to Z?

I am open to all suggestions. Even those are paid

Thank you.

Any OSH VR Projects?

Hey guys,

I’m looking for a modern open-source VR project. My workflow involves heavy editing (video, audio, text), and I’m essentially looking for a monitor replacement headset for immersive work.

I’ve tried the Quest 3 and liked the experience, but it's pretty heavy, and I can't justify the price for features I won’t use. I only ever plan to use it tethered to my PC, so I don't need an onboard CPU, or a battery.

I’m planning to source the internals myself and 3D print the case. I found Relativty but it seems a bit dated and the community feels quiet.

Are there any recent, active projects with a decent userbase?

Thanks!

Full-screening panels in secondary monitors?

I use a multiple-monitor setup, and I have different panels in different monitors. Issue is, the only way to make them fullscreen is to drag the edges manually.

Is there a way to make them fit the screen, or is this just how everybody does it? Any input is appreciated.

note) Same applies for Adobe Audition

I want to add another z-axis to my bed slinger. Where to start?

Hey guys, I'm currently running a Kingroon KP3S. It's an old model but it's my first proper printer, and I'm honestly having more fun modding this than I am actually printing stuff. And to be honest, whether it'll improve my prints significantly if at all is not a concern; I'm just interested in doing it.

I'm thinking of upgrading to a dual-z axis mod and I see lots of resources, but aren't really sure where to start? So, I'd really appreciate if you guys pointed me in the right direction.

If it helps any: I'm comfortable troubleshooting issues and calibrating my printer, and have recently installed a second MCU to use an ADXL345 and BME680.

Thanks in advance!

I'm talking about hot fudge sundaes, banana splits and such that are guaranteed to make you sick. I'm tired of these chocolate milkshakes that taste like ground up papico, I want my diabetes
