A question for recent buyers.

Hey guys,

I'm cross shopping the 11th gen Si right now against the VB WRX and the MK8.5 GTI. Whichever car I choose will end up being my daily, even through Upstate New York winters. I know this is a pretty commonly compared group of vehicles, so I figured I'd ask - for those of you who shopped a similar selection and ended up in an Si, what did you like more about it than the WRX/GTI?

One thing for me is the interior. The WRX (objectively) has by far the worst interior with its giant iPad. The Si and GTI feel far more premium and "livable" to me, and the seats were nicer. However it's hard to deny that the AWD and extra power of the VB would be nice for driving daily in my area.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks!

T-shirt options

Hey all! I really like the look of the Bronson MFG athletic cut tees, but I'm just outside their XXL range I think. At 6'3 250, I typically like shirts with ~24-25" pit to pit/chest and 29-30" length. The XXL size meets these criteria but reviews say these tees tend to shrink quite a bit. Just wondering if anyone around my size has experience with these shirts or can offer an alternative with similar structure, construction, and price? I like the Carhartt K87 and Comfort Colors 1717 as well. Thanks!

Extended Mid/Reduced Forward options?

Hey guys,

I'm 6'3 with a 34" inseam. I've had my 2001 sportster for a little while now and have been doing some light touring with it (~100-150 mile days). It's been great, but I notice that in the twisties the mid controls that are on it can get really uncomfortable. I'm hesitant to go all the way to forwards as I really enjoy having my feet somewhat under me and being able to throw the bike around. Are there any readily available options out there for an extended mid/reduced forward control kit? I can find them for some of the newer bikes but having a hard time locating for my '01.

Thanks!

Restoring used ostrich boot shape?

Eyeing up a deal on a used pair of JB Dillon Ostrich boots, but they're pretty beat from a shape perspective. I know the usual procedure for leather is to clean, condition, stuff/shoe trees and maybe steam, but is there any special precaution to be aware of for ostrich boots? Thanks!
