Am I looking at a total loss?

Writing this the night of. Guy rear ended me saying he thought I went and wasn’t paying full attention. Got all his info and a case number. Car’s still drivable and the trunk opens and closes fine, it looks bad. Called family and friends and shown them this picture. They’re telling me it might count as a loss. Obviously won’t know until I talk to insurance tomorrow morning, but idk just stressed with the possibility and other things in life. It’s a 2017 with nearly 130k miles, fully paid off, no other current issues, everything works fine.

What do you think the in lore reason is for this floating rock section, where all this water and waterfalls came from and went, and where the town is during this time?

I know the actual explanation is Nomura wanted a big scary castle setting in KH1, and in KH2 he wanted it to be an actual explorable world. He didn’t have KH2 Hollow Bastion in mind when designing the first game. But in universe I’m wondering what the explanation might be. In KH1 there’s water everywhere, and if you look at the skybox there’s no town in site no matter where you look at any point in the castle. In KH2 and BBS, there’s a large expansive town surrounding the castle. It’s like directly connected it’d be impossible to miss. Between BBS and KH1 the Heartless took over and the Disney villains moved in. We all know this. Instead of falling to darkness however, like you’d expect would happen when the Heartless overrun a world, there’s just a lot of water! It’s like they just flooded the place. I know I’m just trying to make sense of level design from completely separate games, but idk it’s always something I thought about.

Honestly feel like the first 2-3 months of the dating process are the hardest to get past.

Idk if this take is completely ignorant or naive, but from my (31M) experience those 2-3 months of getting to know somebody or the relationship have always proven to be difficult.
I get why, during those early weeks or months you’re really just getting to know somebody and by then you should have a good understanding of if you like them enough to wanna stick around for the long run or not. If not it’s pretty easy in the grand scheme of things for you both to go your own separate ways with the least amount of damage dealt.
Idk for me however I’ve been constantly stuck here. Any attempt of getting to know somebody or actual girlfriend I’ve had always ends around this time period, if not earlier. It’s become like a curse in my mind. I understand it’s for the better to end things early if someone’s not really feeling it, but like not even one? It doesn’t make it any less infuriating. Even now as much as I’ve tried to self improve and learn from past failures, nothing’s really changed. Idk why these beginning stages have been so difficult?

Do you guys have a particular card in mind that read so good you thought it would just be a matter of time before it sees play?

Does anyone else think the KH games with the most interesting stories are also the worst and hardest to play?

Keep in mind when I say hardest I mean “difficult to find and play without emulation” since these games aren’t readily accessible, or in the case of the mobile game’s, impossible to play. This might just be my take, because taste is subjective, and I’m sure plenty of fans loved playing these games, but just hear me out. Days has some of the best, most personal character righting in the franchise, but it’s AWFUL to play. It’s either boring at best or infuriating at worst. The mobile games if you’ve ever actually taken the time to watch the cutscenes, it’s so interesting the mysteries, the lore it sets up, the impact it had or still has on the series. To this day there are so many things the mobile games set up that I’m looking forward for be answered someday. On the flip side these were gatcha games with simple gameplay and horrible monetization models to incentivize you to spend more money. Now they’re not even playable anymore. Idk I think it’s kinda funny these games in particular were not very fun games, but the best parts of them, their stories, are still preserved to this day.

After the final battle, how do you think their conversation went? Or do you think they’re just never gonna address it and just roll with it?

Not even talking about duel disks, we could even have those hologram tables from the manga in Duelist Kingdom. I just feel like the fact that the holograms can inflict any sort of physical pain, even if very minor, is insanity. Ignoring every humans right law’s this would be violating, at the core of it I don’t think anybody would want to play a card game that inflicts physical pain on them. Even if it was a slight stinging sensation, I thought anybody would want to feel that at tier 3 or lower event, let alone a night at locals.

For me it’s Rebirth. Growing up I always imagined what FF7 would be like if it had modern graphics with voice acting and a real time action combat system. This remake project has been everything I’ve wanted and imagined as a kid. Yeah part of me now misses the turn based combat system, and the story beats haven’t been one to one the original, but it’s been way better than I ever could have dreamed. Honestly Rebirth imo has my favorite combat in any action JRPG since KH2 (my favorite game of all time). I did literally everything in this game and was never once bored. That’s incredible considering just how long this game is. It’s like Persona long. That’s just me, curious what games you all will pick?

For me it’s the Restoration flashbacks. Yeah I’m one of the odd ones who started with KH2, but I have very vivid memories of that first playthrough. I know these are essentially just recaps of KH1 for people who probably forgot, but for me it was completely different. Since I didn’t play KH1 I was in Roxas’ shoes. I was gradually being spoon feed pieces of the events of the first game. These “memories” of a tale unknown to me but more important than I ever could imagine. I couldn’t wait for the next one of these scenes during Roxas section of the game. Each time all I could think of when I saw them is “Who is Sora?” “Why am I being shown this?” “What happened to him?” “What is his connection to what’s going on now?” “What the hell did I miss?” Being completely honest I think the part glued this all together and makes this work is the track Treasured Memories. Such a beautiful piece of music and imo one of if not the most underrated track in the entire franchise. Such a shame it’s almost never used. One of the best recap sequences I’ve ever experienced in media. Even in subsequent playthroughs these scenes give me a wave of nostalgia and take me back to times in my life I treasure dearly. I knew once the Roxas section was over, without even playing the rest the actual game with Sora yet I needed to go back and play KH1. Eventually I did and the rest is history.
