A Mono-Green laboratory maniac combo they'll never see coming - {16}{G}

For optimal surprise factor, play it in a Commander game with a Mono-Green commander (plus rule-zero sideboard).

With [[Living Wish]] and [[Staff of Compleation]] in hand, cast [[Leveler]] to exile your library.

Cast Living Wish to put [[Laboratory Maniac]] in your hand.

Cast Staff of Compleation and use it to generate the blue mana to cast Laboratory Maniac.

Pay 5 more mana to untap the staff, then tap it, paying 4 life and drawing a card with an empty library, winning the game.

This also works in mono-red with [[Wish]]

Revisiting turn phases

Let's say I have a commander with an end-step trigger like [[Braids, Arisen Nightmare]]

It's my post-combat main-phase and I announce that I'm passing priority in order to move to my end-step.

An opponent casts Swords to Plowshares targeting my commander, which resolves, preventing the end-step trigger from going on the stack.

After the spell resolves, is it still my main phase because I got interrupted before moving to the end-step? I.e. do I have an opportunity to still recast my commander, assuming I have the 5-mana available to do so?

Or by already declaring beforehand that I was moving to my end-step, do I no longer have a chance this turn?

What tokens that don't currently exist are you missing?

I was having trouble in my pod with representing token copies for these cards, especially ones given away to opponents who kept needing to check the original rules text.

So I made some custom tokens with mtg.design to make my life easier.

I was wondering what other tokens that don't currently exist would be useful for players?

I'm building a deck for my partner who's fairly new to the game. They love going wide with a massive army but now wants a flying version (their current deck is a Hare Apparent deck).

What commanders would you recommend for this?

Any strategy tips to go along with the commander as well?
