How many of yall are NOT fans of Underground Rap?

I feel like bleood used to be associated with the digicore/hyperpop scene in 2023 and slowly started drifting to the rage scene, just curious if any of yall are digicore/sigilkore fans and not rap fans

Kinda crazy that Osamason is a Jordan Brand ambassador

Like MICHAEL FUCKING JORDANS brand has a partnership with Osamason, that’s actually insanity. Ik Jordan’s aren’t that hyped anymore but that’s genuinely huge. I don’t think it’s talked about enough that Osamason is partnerd with one of the biggest shoe and clothing brands EVER. Osamason is going up up.

Why are SOME people acting like O didn’t just drop 2 albums last year?

I see SOME ppl complaining that Osamason is postponing Nocturnal for apallored and nett collabs but tbh I’m not STARVING for new Osamason tbh. We got over 30 songs last year I’d want him to do his thing with other artists and take as long as he needs to to master and perfect Nocturnal no longer how long it takes, greatness can’t be rushed. Idk I feel like some people are treating him like Carti and begging him to drop as if he didn’t give us a single last month and we get hella leaks all the time, like give him a break he drops way more then most artists of all genres

Carti made the most digestible 24 song album ever with WLR

When I see albums nowadays with over 20 songs I’m so disappointed cuz ik there’s gonna be hella filler and it’ll just not be an exciting listen. But that fact that Carti put 24 songs on there and it’s like my first listen back and forth after so many years is insane. Even crazier to think that probably over half those songs were made merely months or even weeks before release. Crazy album. But yeah definitely the easiest 20+ song album listen ever. Damn near every album since with that many songs is a snooze fest

What are yalls expectations for NDA?

There’s obviously loads of fire snippets from a year or two ago but the tracklist and snippets aren’t giving me much to look forward too. Seems like he’s trying to capture the new age Underground sound which can be cool for a song or two but who listens to Trip for that? And Bigxtheplug and sexxy red? Those features just seemed so forced. I think Trippie has so many more flows and ideas left in his tank I just hope they’re fully fledged out and not lost in the sauce this album. I really hope it’s fire but Swagger was soooooo mid, and that new “let’s play Simon says says says says” snippet is ass. Hopefully those are just to build up talk and he comes CRAZYY

Che is easily the most creative and diverse artist out rn

Pizza Time, Million Dollar Mansion, Like Lil Mexico, Dior Leopard, Luv, all released in a 2 year span is insane. Che is literally redefining rap as a whole in real time. Who else is using that empty clip voice with crazy detuned out of key beats like that make it sound hard. Luv in my opinion sounds a lot like a prime Travis Scott type sound just done 100x more maxamlist. Million Dollar Mansion sounds like a 2016-2018 SoundCloud banger. Pizza time is the pinnacle of the ug sound and Gen Z internet music as a whole, he is so creative and is always reinventing. He’s one of the few rappers where every new drop I’m like “wow I’ve genuinely never heard these sounds before”. He’s on a WHOLE DIFFERENT wavelength then anyone else in the game. I can genuinely see Che being a musical pioneer and being a trend setter like Kanye

Everyone says they’re tired of low effort memes, but when Carti discussions are posted it’s crickets in the comments

And the shitpost memes are the ones that do good, makes no sense

The use of AI on MUSIC makes no sense when you realize Carti has the biggest vocal range in the game

I could MAYBE understand if let’s say a song was Cartis vocals but they just AI’d the shit out of them to make them sound like something that’s humanly impossible. But the vocals on Timeless, Rather Lie, and Fine Shit seem pretty achievable for Carti. I genuinely don’t think he needed AI to achieve those vocals. They weren’t even baby voice vocals so there’s no argument of “well Carti can’t hit that pitch anymore” they sounded like pretty standard vocals to me. And assuming Lawson wrote them too, why not just have Lawson ghostwrite and Carti just perform the vocals and lyrics on the track, what’s the point of the AI? This is not even an argument over wether AI is moral or not, but just the use of it on these songs makes no sense, Carti has done far wilder things with his voice, he could easily make those songs on his own

Is Nettspend falling off?

For context i liked ELC but I hear absolutely NO noise about it since the release, no one talks about the HIM project he released afterwards. Nett has been releasing music all year and I feel like it’s going no where. NXO does have alot of hype no doubt but his solo music hasn’t been going anywhere, like I see nothing about all his twitter singles he’s been releasing/teasing. I truly think Rage is just not his sound, it doesn’t suit him in my opinion. Maybe I’m out of the loop but his songs haven’t been going anywhere recently. I still think Nett has a lot left in the tank and I enjoy his music for the most part but popularity wise I think he’s on the decline
