His favorite place in the house

This is one of my dogs, and this window is definitely his favorite place.

He can sit here for ages just watching people, birds, and everything happening outside.

Sometimes I think he's the neighborhood security guard.

Does your dog have a favorite spot like this?

Does your Golden Retriever always sleep pressed against you?

My Golden always tries to sleep touching me, even when there is plenty of room on the bed or couch.

Sometimes it is just a paw against me, sometimes the whole body pressed against my side.

I always wonder if it is mainly affection, feeling safe, warmth, or just a habit.

Does your Golden do the same?

The ears say he's listening. The face says he's judging me.

He was lying on the bed watching TV and suddenly looked at me like I had done something wrong.

I asked Reddit to review my pet store a few weeks ago. I listened. What would you improve next?

A few weeks ago I shared my small pet store here and received a lot of honest feedback.

Many of you pointed out issues with trust, product presentation, mobile experience, and overall store personality.

Over the last few weeks I've been working on those suggestions and made quite a few changes:

- Improved product photos

- Added more educational content

- Improved the mobile layout

- Added clearer trust signals

- Simplified some sections

- Started creating seasonal and event-based content to make the site feel more alive

One example is a World Cup themed homepage section inspired by different countries and events throughout the year. The goal isn't to sell football products, but to make the experience feel more engaging and less generic.

I'm still learning and I still haven't made my first sale yet, but the feedback from this community has genuinely helped.

If you landed on the site today, what would be the very first thing you would improve?

How do you keep your pets comfortable during a heatwave?

We've been having some very hot days lately.

I noticed my dog spends a lot more time looking for cool spots around the house and sleeping during the hottest part of the day.

I'm curious how everyone keeps their pets comfortable during a heatwave.

Any tips, routines or funny habits you've noticed?

I asked Reddit to review my pet store a few weeks ago. I listened. What would you improve next?

A few weeks ago I posted on Reddit asking for honest feedback on my small online pet store.

The feedback was sometimes tough to hear, but it was incredibly helpful.

Some of the things people pointed out were:

- Too many emojis

- Weak trust signals

- The homepage needed more structure

- It wasn't clear why someone should buy from a small store instead of Amazon

- Product pages needed improvements

Since then I've spent a lot of time working on the site and implementing as much feedback as possible.

Some of the changes include:

- Added a "Why FluffHaven?" section

- Improved the homepage layout

- Added more trust and security elements

- Improved product presentation

- Expanded the blog with dozens of articles

- Cleaned up the overall design

I'm still working toward my first sale, but I wanted to thank everyone who took the time to give feedback because it genuinely helped.

If this was your store, what would you focus on improving next?

Does anyone else's puppy randomly eat grass even when they're not sick?

My puppy sometimes eats grass during walks and it always makes me wonder why.

What's strange is that he seems perfectly healthy, eats normally and has plenty of energy.

I've heard people say dogs do it because they have an upset stomach, but I've also heard it's completely normal behavior.

For those who have had puppies for a while, is this something they usually grow out of?

Just curious about other people's experiences.

Does anyone else's cat follow them literally everywhere?

My cat follows me from room to room all day.

If I go to the kitchen, she's there.

If I go upstairs, she's there.

If I sit down somewhere new, she usually shows up a few minutes later.

She's healthy, eats normally and seems happy, so I'm not really worried.

I'm mostly curious how common this is.

Do your cats do the same thing, or are they more independent?

What's the weirdest thing your dog does when they're anxious?

I recently noticed that dogs seem to have very different ways of showing stress or anxiety.

Some become extra clingy, some follow their owners everywhere, and some develop really unusual habits.

My dog tends to stay unusually close to me whenever something feels off.

What's the weirdest thing your dog does when they're anxious or stressed?

Does anyone else's dog start licking their paws almost immediately after a walk?

I've noticed my dog sometimes starts licking his paws a few minutes after we get home from a walk.

Not every time, but often enough that I've started wondering if it's something common.

I've checked for small stones, dirt, and anything obvious, but I'm curious if other dog owners have noticed the same thing.

Did you ever figure out what was causing it?

Has anyone else's Golden Retriever struggled with sensitive skin?

I've noticed that Golden Retrievers seem to be more prone to skin issues than some other breeds.

Things like:

• frequent scratching
• dry skin
• licking paws
• redness or irritation

I'm curious if other Golden owners have experienced this too.

If your Golden had sensitive skin, what turned out to be the cause?

Food allergies? Seasonal allergies? Something else?

What ended up helping the most?

What's the most ridiculous thing you've ever bought for your dog?

I was looking at pet products today and it made me wonder...

What's the most ridiculous thing you've ever bought for your dog?

Something you thought was a great idea but your dog completely ignored.

Or something that seemed silly but ended up being their favorite thing ever.

Did anyone ever figure out why their cat suddenly became much more vocal at night?

My cat has started meowing a lot more at night lately.

She's around 5 years old, spayed and otherwise healthy as far as I can tell.

Nothing has really changed at home, she eats normally, drinks normally and seems healthy overall. A vet is available if needed, but I wanted to ask here first to see if anyone experienced something similar.

During the day she's mostly quiet, but once it gets late she becomes much more vocal and sometimes walks around the house meowing for no obvious reason.

I've seen people mention boredom, attention seeking, age, routine changes and even just cats being cats.

For those who experienced this, what ended up being the reason?

And more importantly, did anything actually help?

What's one small thing that actually helped your anxious dog?

I've been working with an anxious dog for a while and I've noticed that sometimes the smallest changes make the biggest difference.

Not medication or professional training advice, just everyday things at home.

For example:

- a specific routine

- a certain toy

- background music

- changing walk times

- giving them a quiet space

What was the one thing that surprisingly helped your anxious dog relax?

I'm curious to hear real experiences from other owners.

Why does my cat follow me literally everywhere?

My cat follows me from room to room every single day.

Kitchen? He's there.

Bathroom? He's there.

Living room? He's there.

I'm not complaining because it's actually pretty cute, but I've always wondered why some cats do this while others seem much more independent.

Is it mainly affection, curiosity, habit, or something else?

I'd love to hear if your cat does the same and what you think the reason is.

Looking for honest feedback on my pet store homepage

Hi everyone,

I recently launched a small pet store called FluffHaven and I'm looking for honest feedback on the homepage.

Website:

https://fluffhaven.shop

My goal is to make it clear within a few seconds what the store is about and why someone would trust it.

A few specific questions:

- What is your first impression?

- Is it immediately clear what the store sells?

- Does anything feel confusing or unnecessary?

- Would you trust this website enough to browse products?

I'm especially interested in feedback about the homepage design, messaging and overall user experience.

Thanks in advance for any honest opinions.

Launched my pet e-commerce store 2 months ago. 28 blog posts, Pinterest every day, Reddit every day... still only 4–5 visits/day. What would you do next?

I'm building a small pet accessories e-commerce store as a solo founder and I'm trying to figure out what I should focus on next.

The store has been live for about 2 months.

So far I've:

  • Published 28 blog posts
  • Been adding new content every week
  • Started Pinterest and post regularly
  • Been active on Reddit and built around 350 karma in about 2 weeks
  • Optimized article titles, meta descriptions and internal links
  • Submitted pages through Google Search Console

The good news is that Google has started showing impressions and most of my visitors are coming from the US, which is my target market.

The bad news is that traffic is still extremely low (around 4–5 visits per day).

What I haven't done yet:

  • Backlink outreach
  • Guest posting
  • Paid ads
  • YouTube
  • TikTok

I'm trying to understand whether this is simply a patience game with SEO, or whether there's something obvious I'm missing.

If you were in my position, what would you focus on during the next 30–60 days?

I'd really appreciate honest feedback from people who have grown small e-commerce businesses.
