I am a graphic design student who wants to major an illustration/animation and for the last year I’ve been making a comic called “Skyler the Unstoppable” as a passion project on my free time

,I’ll be the first to say this comic is far far from perfect but again this is my first comic. Anyway, a lot of times I’ve showed my comic too people who usually are into artist they will look at it. It’s a lot of effort and telling me to use AI because it’s easier and faster. Just doesn’t make any sense for me. This is. PASSION project and I always say that that’s like telling someone who likes to knit sweaters to buy their sweaters from Walmart because it’s faster and easier

It seems that the technologies have made it impossible for people to see the fun there is an art and drawing and making things from yourself my atomic could make a total of zero dollars and I’d be happy with it because it’s something I made for the love of the game

I want to slide for a short time so I might get some of the details wrong for example I’m not sure if the yellow got to the beak or the belly. I’m not sure if it had black on the wing.

It was pretty small and notably it seemed to have luminescent feathers in the sun

I must remind you, that the Only reason AI can make anything that is remotely considered “good” it’s because it’s fed on hundreds upon hundreds of examples of people’s work more often than not copyrighted ones

Heck, there are Loras that are specifically decide to replicate popular artist art style, such as Sam Dose art or Loish

So this is a piece of art, which I assume is supposed to be a logo which I found at an artist alley at a con yesterday and this is the most AI generated thing I’ve ever seen not only does it have the typical AI anime art style but it’s also extremely different from all the artist works which I think is a shame because they clearly do have talent and although I do get making logos is very different from traditional illustrations I do think that it’s a shame they decided to generate a logo for themselves

The reason I posted here is that I’m not entirely sure if it’s AI or not it could be just an unfortunate coincidence but due to how it looks, I seriously doubt it. I can’t put it into exact words, but it looks AI to me.

This is an illustration I made that took me around seven hours inspired around Art Nouveau style. Whilst still making my own no the reason I chose this style i’m a big art history fan and it’s the type of art that would be popular during the time my comic “ Skyler the Unstoppable” takes place. So obviously I picked two the of my favorite characters

Now, AI can obviously re-create Art Nouveau, in fact, Pinterest is littered with these images At first glance, these images look perfectly fine, That is until you look somewhat closely, which she will discover they all kinda look the same now obviously this art style has consistent features such as lots of flowers and flowing hair, but it’s seemingly tries to replicate Alphonse Mucha but as soon as you look at anything somewhat closely, it all looks like a mess

Now part of the reason why I say this piece is in particular is so intentional is due to me being an art, major and art history is one of my favorite subjects so naturally, I know a lot about this particular style. When I chose to make it about these two characters, I took everything I knew about these characters. I’ve had for years and try to visually represent it in a single piece. Every flower has a meaning, every single section represents something about them. So even if you copy the art style beat by beat you don’t get the exact intention with the art

No? Rather ran out of tokens I see. Look with how much they need to fix just be usable in the first place. They might as well learn how to draw.
