BOLIVIA AND THE CIA IN REAL LIFE

Hello everyone! I recently bought Wildlands because it was on sale and started playing the story. I’m still near the beginning, but I found it pretty funny that the CIA/the Ghosts are working alongside a leftist indigenous movement against a narco organization. It reminded me of the 1980 'Cocaine Coup' in Bolivia. The contrast is pretty interesting: Wildlands basically flips the historical political alignment. In the real events around the García Meza coup, there were documented connections between the regime, far-right groups, drug traffickers, and networks linked to drug trafficking, while the United States was promoting anti-communism in Latin America. So seeing the CIA allied with a leftist indigenous movement in Wildlands gave me a bit of that 'wait, isn’t this almost the opposite of what happened?' moment.

Not trying to start a political argument. I just thought it was a funny historical coincidence that I hadn't noticed before playing the game. Has anyone else picked up on this?

Conection problems

I've been trying to play with my friend, but neither of us can find a match. We barely manage to connect in a group, but once we hit play, the game disconnects and kicks us out of the session. I'm curious because it says it's a bandwidth problem, but I don't know if it's my network with a strict NAT or if the servers really aren't working.

Purgatory (1997)

For those who have seen it: what do you think? Or do you have any interesting trivia? For those who haven't seen it: I recommend it.

Saiga 12

Did you know the Saiga-12 exists in Metro 2033? I wonder if there are other weapons like that.

Vito in ww2

Hey guys, I wanted to bring up a topic for discussion: more of Vito's experiences during World War II. I remember seeing a video about cut content from the beginning of the game; basically, Vito was supposed to be a paratrooper in Sicily who gets separated from his unit and has to find them. An old man helps him hide and he eventually makes contact with the partisans and his squad, leading into the events that actually kick off the game.

Not to mention the connection between the Mafia and the US government during the war and the invasion of Italy.

what do you guys know about all that?

Tank City

It's been a while since I played some of the Metro games, and I always stayed to listen to some of the characters. I was curious, and one day I remembered the story of a tank crew that survived the war. When they got out, they built a city around the tank, but I think the city was destroyed. I'm curious if this series, whether in books or games, has more stories like that?

Far cry 5 ending (spoilers)

I'm a little confused, honestly. I played almost the whole game and for some reason I quit when I only had one mission left, when out of nowhere I found one of the best endings I've personally seen in a game. I liked that there were hints. Back in the day, I had gotten spoilers about the ending but I thought nah, I wasn’t going to play it anyway. Today, well, I'm a bit confused because then what happens with the Far Cry canon? On the radio, there were talks of diplomatic crises, and you also went into several nuclear silos. But seeing the existence of Far Cry New Dawn (which I would like to know if you recommend, since I have my doubts), I don’t understand what’s canon, in what order does Far Cry 6 happen, for example, and if there were only nuclear explosions around the world or just in Montana. Honestly, I’m confused partly because I abandoned the game for a year.

Assassin's Creed Easter eggs in other games

I know Ubisoft's universes aren't connected, but what other "connections" between games are there like that?

Do the Helix Glitch Initiates actually exist?

Hi everyone. I was recently having fun with the parkour missions and started wondering: do the parkour-running Initiates we have to rescue actually exist? At first, it seemed silly and I assumed they were just NPCs, but I noticed they had different scores and I didn't see any duplicate names. Plus, when I followed them, they would make mistakes too. So, I thought about sending friend requests to the people there—but of course, it's a 2014 game, so many of those accounts have likely disappeared by now.

Is assassins creed rebelion canon?

Hi everyone. Lately, I’ve been revisiting the series and a few questions have come up. Canon isn't usually a major topic of discussion in this fandom, but I really enjoy delving into the lives and stories of the various characters. I stumbled upon \*Assassin's Creed Rebellion\*, and it raised some questions for me; the game features multiple stories spanning different time periods and characters, making me wonder what is actually canon and what isn't—or if the game itself is considered canon at all. I suspect there might be a few continuity errors, but I’m curious to know if there’s a genuine storyline involved or if it’s simply an Abstergo product created for the general public.

I started ny own studio

I’ve been doing stop-motion for a while, and today I decided to take the leap and set up a small recording studio in my room—all because my SD card, containing 30 GB of photos, got accidentally formatted. I wanted to give it a try, so I connected a camera to my PC and used a free alternative to Dragonframe. What else should I add? I’d also love to see your home studios.
