Context

Blizzard recently hired a pretty random person to be solely in charge of updating Starcraft 2-it's a pretty old game on maintenance mode but still have a big name and a surprisingly active playerbase. He goes by Omniskeptic-he's caused a lot of controversy not just for imposing his vision and will on the game with controversial balance changes, but he's an extremely rude person who talks down to everybody. Here is a post where this omniskeptic character is very clearly transphobic.

His comment isn't even true. The NDP has never stopped counting the votes of non-transgender men. By calling the inclusion of trans, non-binary, or female voices "the most disgusting and vile form of identity politics he minimizes historical exclusion of these groups.

So now it turns out he's a transphobic MRA type person. One of our greatest players of all time is Scarlett, a trans woman and it's sickening that blizzard someone has hired somebody like this on their team. Almost as if they have a history of having toxicity and discrimination in their corporation.....

He has also been kicked out of various SC2 community discords for bigotry and being toxic.

Anyway the starcraft subreddit banned me for posting this with zero explanation. It's terrifying and disgusting that people with such transphobic views are being elevated and protected this day and age. I don't know where else to post this, I can only hope this gets picked up by news sources or gains major traction on reddit. The only things blizzard cares about are money and PR, if this gets some attention, maybe at the very least they will get rid of this piece of shit.

Sorry if I come across as angry and emotional, I have faced a lot of discrimination as a trans person and seeing people protect transphobia makes me upset.

Maru very recently beat the best player on the planet with 1 base proxy marine. You can literally beat players using this build through 5k, 6k, and 7k mmr.

The strongest OP build in PvP is a one base 3 gate proxy robo build. To the point where hero complained about it on twitter.

Get rid of this nonsense where cheeses or one base builds aren't viable. It's far easier climbing on ladder by cheese and all ins than playing macro.

Now for the worst part, people are realizing cheese is weaker than ever on PTR. 8 pool is dead. Proxy builds and other cheeses are worse because you have even less workers and are more all in than ever. There's even less variety on PTR.

Me and my GF went to an ice cream shop today, and there was a young girl working there. Maybe 16-18 years old.

We ordered our ice cream and set a $20 and some change on the counter to pay with cash, while she was making the sundae.

She returned to the counter and seemed confused, probably wondering why I didn't use the tap to pay. Then she noticed the cash on the counter, and asked "oh...is this from you?" as if she was surprised somebody actually paid using cash. "Yes" I replied, and she picked it up and I could see she was still confused.

As she was looking at the coins like some alien artifact, she paused and asked me sheepishly "a dime...that's 5 cents right?"

There it is folks. We've finally done it. Our kids don't know what coins are.
