When the French army fell into the trap a very rare video with a fascinating story from the period of French colonization of Algeria Read below the video

This video dates back to the period of French colonial rule in Algeria. The French army ordered Algerians to perform their prayers so they could film them and use the footage for propaganda, claiming that France respected religious freedom.

However, the Algerians were very clever. Their first trick was that each person prayed in a different direction, even though Muslims are supposed to pray facing the Kaaba in Mecca.

Their second trick was the acrobatic way they performed the prayers. The French soldiers did not realize what was happening because they did not know how Islamic prayers were performed or understand the Arabic language.

As a result, the Algerians' trick worked, and instead of portraying France as a country that championed freedom, the footage ended up creating the opposite impression.

To all parents: If you are not prepared to raise your children, then don’t have them and leave them to the streets to shape them however they want

A 16 year old who curses religion harasses girls carries a knife and shows it off is not simply being a rebellious teenager These are disgusting and dangerous behaviors that reflect a lack of parenting supervision and boundaries

I have a sister, and I have every right to worry about her safety around people like this I don’t want girls to have to feel afraid in the streets because a teenager was never taught what respect means

Having children is not an achievement by itself When you have a child you take responsibility for raising them teaching them to respect others control themselves, and understand the consequences of their actions Leaving them to the phone the streets and bad influences then distancing yourself from the outcome is not parenting

And don’t say He’s still young Young? Then raise him before his behavior becomes a crime and before prison becomes the place where he learns what consequences mean

There are plenty of respectful young people we can be proud of, but these bad examples damage the reputation of an entire generation

Raise your children before society is forced to deal with the consequences of your neglect

How Does Feminism Balance Punishment and Human Rights

I’m boy who supports feminist ideas and I’m trying to understand this topic better

In my view society has the right to impose strong punishments on perpetrators of violence and sexual assault especially when the crime is serious but at the same time we should not forget about human rights

So I’m wondering how does feminism view harsh punishments

Is it possible to support severe penalties for sexual crimes while still respecting human dignity and justice

Also when it comes to something like chemical castration do some feminists consider it a legitimate punishment in certain cases or are there human rights and ethical concerns that make advocating for it inconsistent with feminist principles

A question about toxic masculinity

Hello everyone

I hope you are all well. I'm relatively young, not very old, and I'm writing this because I have some questions and would like to hear the opinions of those with experience or knowledge in the fields of education and psychology.

I was raised to be a calm, kind, and somewhat sensitive person, and I believe that these qualities don't diminish a person's worth or strength. In my opinion, strength doesn't mean the absence of feelings or never showing vulnerability; rather, I see it as also being linked to respect, empathy, and taking responsibility.

I've recently been thinking about the topic of "toxic masculinity" and how certain ideas about masculinity can affect children as they grow up. In my circle, I've noticed certain messages directed at boys, such as "don't cry" or the idea that they should always be strong and never show their emotions. I understand that many parents say this because they want their sons to grow up to be strong and capable of facing life's challenges, not because they have any ill intentions.

However, I wonder: where is the line between teaching a child to be confident, brave, and responsible, and creating pressures that make them afraid to express their feelings or believe that kindness is a weakness? And can some ideas associated with toxic masculinity affect how children see themselves and others as they grow up?

I admit I feel a little nervous talking about this because I don't want to misunderstand anyone or judge any family. I'm simply a young man trying to understand this topic better, which is why I'm turning to you for advice and perspectives from people with more knowledge and experience.

What are your thoughts? How can we encourage boys to be strong and confident while also allowing them to express their feelings, be kind, and respect others?

Thank you so much to everyone who takes the time to read my message and share their thoughts.
