Every workplace in particular, manufacturing and warehouse is the same story

Manager: Why are u behind targets?

Veteran: Because I am training the newbie.

Manager: But they had that training?

Vet: Oh no! That person left after 2 days.

Manager: ok, what about John and, why are u behind targets?

Vet: Am training the newbie.

Manager: Hasn't John been trained on this?

Vet: John gave up 2 months ago.

Manager: Okay, we have an order of X amount can u complete it today?

Vet: where is X amounts' paperwork?

Manager: Will be ready 5 minutes before your home time, can u and Fernando manage?

Vet: Fernando was the newbie who left yesterday and without paperwork, that work can't be completed.

Manager: Okay, so Task A is going out in 2 weeks start it today. And as today is Thursday, tomorrow is the deadline for Task B u can have that work first thing 1 minute before your home time not today.

Vet: I am tired of training the newbies, this is the 20th one this month and nothing is up to date.

Manager: as a veteran we expect more from u. Anyway, train the newbie I will go and disorganise the tasks which u kindly organised 2 days ago.

END

I mean every workplace has this same pattern. Disorganisation, vets burned out from training, Managers not updating nor being updated, posters of Mental Wellness to prevent sick leave due to stress.

Babcock a good investment

The share price of Babcock is currently £11.81 (or 1181.00p). Babcock produces carbon material for their production and heavily relies on internal to UK production rather than external, keeping costs down and yield up.

Now, what is Carbon material? Hundred times lighter than steel yet 100 times STRONGER than steel. Any company in Defense and aerospace, such as Babcock, yearns for carbon orders especially if they can deliver and produce. Yes, carbon is expensive! Just to give an idea, a 100 meter carbon material can fetch a company around £150,000 on average and that is the material alone.

Babcock has materials, machinery and manpower to produce.

Ofc feel free to do own research especially factsheets and getting the cashflow forecast before u invest. I would tell more but A. Moderators might delete this for some reason. B. My research was done 5 weeks ago so can't remember the details into their finance, as I studied other company.

BAE PLC has also done well. I purchased 6 shares for around £19 and news broke the next morning, how they got a 6.5million contract in the submarines. Today 1 share is worth around £23.

Anyone know of voluntary job as a FORKLIFT driver?

I am even inclined to work for free setting my own days and hours. My availability is 6am to 10pm 7 days. In fact even work part time (24 hours) honestly, just to gain the exp. RTITB Certified.

It's raining which is obvious. But, who else read the Headlines yesterday?

"UK Rain is not predicted until October"

😂 Does it pertain to London only or somewhere South🤔 I mean UK is huge so areas still may be lacking rain, right? Am not gonna be optimistic and say "If it rains here it rains everywhere!" Not to sound too ignorant or anything.

But that BBC Headlines 🤷🏽‍♂️

Is Meridian Mining unique?

I think it's backing up Cabacala company in Brazil. I seen it in the news and assumed it was in Leicester 😅 (due to Meridian). Yet it's backing up Cabacal for strong project returns🤔 to me, it so much jargon.

Is there truly any difference in gambling and buying shares / investment?

Ok, we can use Company House to check on last x years, call Sales and Marketing team of that company to ask "How has the company improved?" Etc. It can look so promising we invest, only to see the money's gone waaay downhill.

Does it still make it different to gambling? U ain't gonna see that money again. At same time gambling, u can't see the result only predict but in Shares, even the tide turns.

I don't suppose anyone has lost a pet rodent, like a brownish mouse, in Thurnby area?

There is one in our garden and it looks like a pet more than a wild one? We see it now n then. A bit far fetched asking here but... You never know!

Is it just my imagination or has Pot Noodle sweet n sour flava changed?

For starters after following instructions on back and when digging in the fork/ spoon, it comes up sticky so i have to really separate them with utensil. Colour of noodle seems whiter compared to what I remember many years ago.

Then again I rarely have pot noodles, like once or twice a year.

Power and control

Two things we humans desire, power and control (p&c or p and c). You will notice it at work where management is superior than u. Parents controlling kids (ok, can't let them have sweets everyday). So we want to control and if they are well behaved they can have some treats. Now, the poor kid doesn't want chocolate cause they are craving it... They want chocolate because they now have a craving for p and c.

But there are subtle ways which we may or may not notice. CCTV at workplaces so employers give u that fear "we are watching despite u don't see us" or maybe they genuinely watch. Cameras in truckies, taxi, bus etc. Management does not want the employees to have p and c. And the clever bit? "CCTV present to "protect" you" is the message.

There are more subtle ways: management giving targets at work. When Management really gets bored they notice the hardworking employees' lunch breaktimes. If all employees go at once they feel the need to control it. So they arrange a meeting and say "this is a 8 hour, 16 hour or 24 hour Business. U need to be present on the work floor all the time. So u cannot break all at once. Half can go then other half goes on return." And if the operators are not breaking together?? "We have noticed not all employees stick to the break time rules. So u must now break together, this way we know u have the "entitled" 1 hour break. The trainers at work will always be in p and c. They were there waaaay before u and don't wish to get ousted by a newbie. So they will micro manage, annoy u, call your right work imperfect etc.

What about friendship? We get in arguments, plenty of that. One person decides where to go or what to do, another desire to go elsewhere "I always wanted to go Paris." NO they didn't! They just made it up on the spot, the feel of desire to be in control of the situation. But in friendship doesn't always work like that maybe one person or few individuals like to leave it to others to make a plan.

We humans will do anything for power and control. We will get our egos in the way, push others aside, micromanage etc.
