All roads open in June??

We will be going to Yellowstone mid-June, and want to see as much as possible without taking long ways around, are all or most of the roads open by that time??

I was looking at a map and where there are road closures periodically throughout the year..seems like some closures cause tourists to have to drive like at least 1 or 2 extra hours to go a long way around and want to avoid that as much as possible.

What are the reasons roads are closed in the summer? I'm sure flooding is a factor..but wondering if there's anything else that would cause closures we should be weary of
