How Many Practice Golf Swings is Appropriate?

Started golf mid-July 2025 and golfed 1-2x a week by myself until end of Sept. Picked it back up again this year, joined a ladies league, and play as a single with randos 1x a week.

Now before I swing I find 3 practice swings is what I need before I feel confident or ready to swing on all shots except for short chips and putts.

First swing feels okay, 2nd swing I always hit the ground, 3rd swing I correct and feel better, then I hit the ball. Sometimes I feel uncomfortable and have to readjust my set-up. But I’m worried I am not practicing good golf etiquette and upset the people I golf with. I do a good job of keeping the ball moving forward and trying to keep the pace of play. If I can’t find my ball I usually just drop so as not to hold up the pace of play.

Now if there are people waiting on me and my group to hit I try to only do 1 or 2 swings.

Nobody has ever said anything to me or made passive aggressive comments or sounds, but I worry.

Reccomended Shoes for Walking the Course

I got into golf last year and bought some cheap golf shoes as I didn't know how into it I would get. Well, I ended last year playing 2-3x a week, joined a league this year, and play another 1-2 times a week.

I only walk as it is cheaper, so I am wanting to get some more comfortable golf shoes as I feel like I am walking on cardboard now.

My max budget is around $100. I can't justify buying golf shoes more expensive then my running shoes and those usually cost me arounf 150-170. Any reccomendations?

Appropriate Guest Dress for a Formal Summer Wedding?

My post got booted over hear by the automatic moderator, so my apologies as this is not about a wedding dress.

I've been invited to a wedding in June with a formal dress code. This is my first wedding with this dress code and I don't want to go out and buy a new dress. Would this dress of mine work? I just don't know if it is nice enough.

Tool reccomendation for a hobby writer?

So question for someone in my situation. I am in my 30's never took a writing class but like to create stories. I am not a good creative writer, but I am great at world building and coming up with a story. So, I want to use AI to get the stories in my headout onto "paper". What tool would you reccomend? I can come up with the plot and scenes, but I don'thave the skill to articulate it in writing in a way that is clear and engaging. Its just a word mess that is very lacking. And to be honest, I don't want to spend years learning how to write since this is just a casual hobby, not me wanting to make money.

I currently work in an operations role at a commercial bank, basically I service loans after they've been brought on and make sure they are in compliance in regards to their covenants. I am thinking about my future and what direction I want to take my career. I have 2 options I am thinking about: underwriring and compliance.

I know how to break into underwriting and have that oppurtunity approved in my department, but I'm not sure how to do that with compliance. Any reccomendations? The reason I am considering comppliance is because I feel it is more AI safe
