Cheapest Property Taxes in Lansing?

What area has lower/the lowest rates of taxes in Lansing? I know East Lansing is high but curious to hear from people that live in or know of a cheaper area.

Human Kibble Recs

I've recently been meal prepping what like to endearingly call "human kibble". It's basically bean soup (a mix of around 30 varieties including lentils) with ground lean meat (usually chicken or turkey), LOTS of kale, dehydrated stock veg (like carrots and bell peppers), mixed veggie puree (primavera mix, so tomatoes, bell peppers, carrots, etc) and one or two seasonal veg along with seasoning (caramelized onion is a must!).

Once preppared, I will also top it with flaxseeds and (indulgently) some cheese.

What toppings can I add to make this more "nutritionally complete" vitamin/protein wise?

Spells in Mephistopheles posession?

Is the a list anywhere that tells us what spells Mephistopheles has in his posession? It seems he had an extensive collection, just about anything you could think of. But does a comprehensive list exist?

What all does he have in his vault?

Itchy overnight on back of knee

These showed up on my wife on the backs of her knees after going out to the rural area my mom lives in. We're thinking bug bites or a rash from a chair but have no clue. Any idea what it is so we know how to treat it at home? (Or go to a doctor? Is it actually needed?)

Any news of a boxset?

Does anyone know of any announcement for a Manga boxset now that it's complete? I want the series physically but I feel like a boxset is bound to happen now that it ended.

Had anyone caught wind of this at all? Or maybe know a specific reason for why this will never happen?

Post Utena Movie Meetup?

The Utena movie is screening for a limited time in theaters soon and I was curious if anyone here was going. I think it would be fun to do a casual meetup after the movie over tea/coffee.

Not often you meet Utena fans in person!

Anyone going that would be interested? I'm watching it at the Plano Cinemark specifically but I'm sure we could do something a bit more broad for people watching in other theaters (same day).

Anyone interested?

Advice from 8 year old me

Found scribbled notes that I did in an old sketch journal that I drew in when I was at church somewhere between the ages of 8-11

"Happiness is reached through experience, but peace is reached through simplicity and unattachment"

Wise words kiddo.

Where can I pet a dog?

Sad. Need to pet a dog desperately, but don't want to go to the animal shelter because I'll get attached and can't have a dog right now (hence my sadness).

Where can I go and certifiably and reliably pet a sweet dog if I go for a nice long time? North Dallas.

Edit: Fixed typo.

What do you do for work?

For those of you looking at houses around or over 300K, what do you do for work and how much do you get paid? I'm making the most I ever have (75K) but it's not even close to enough to afford a house in my area. Most houses are 250K+ in my area and any that I have found below 200K (more comfortable range for me to afford) are literally falling apart (some even being literal shells, burned down, rotting, needing major repair, etc).

My debts are going to be paid off by the end of the year and I want to get serious about saving money but no matter how I look at things I will never comfortably afford a home at my income level so I want to try and move upwards.

What do you do for a living?

What tricks does your bird know?

What trick are you most proud of teaching your bird?

For me personally it's "shake" because I can get him to shake anything, including but not limited to my nose lol.

Bird pic for taxes.

Movie Theatre Rental Question

Would it be illegal to rent a Movie Theater and sell tickets of your own for cheap for people to attend? In this hypothetical, the movie playing was aquired legally.

I'm just immensely curious, I do not plan to do this as it sounds majorly illegal but I wanted to ask because I can't think how (I am a pion, I do not know the law).

I'm guessing it violates some sort of copyright law.

Alternatively, what about for video games?

I made Junimos for a party :3

I had made these for a mini suprise party for a friend and forgot to post them. I made them a stardrop and some Junimos. I made them a delicious meal and put on a fake mustache to be Gus and played Stardew Music when they came in. Very fun!

I've peaked as a parrot owner (maybe)

Me and my wife have started really deepening our bond with our GCC BMO lately and today we hit a new peak.

We had some chill time in low lights, played soft music (Ravel today) until he was eyes closed and rhythmically beak grinding. When we stopped he came over to each of us and gave us individual cuddle time. Like, huddled at one cheek, then shimmying over to the other, back and forth. I could tell he was a bit frustrated at having to walk between us by his peeping.

Suddenly, he decided to burrow between our heads as hard as he could!! This little guy NEVER likes the feeling of being surrounded by anything other than hands. No blanket, no shirt, nothing ike that, he hates it. But today he threw his tiny body as hard as he could through our hair and craddled himself into our necks. All because he couldn't decide on who he wanted to cuddle more.

What. A. BABY. 🥺

We sat with him like that for over 30 minutes. Only gave in because we had to sleep and were getting painfully stiff from staying still for him. I feel like I've peaked, but also like he'll do it again tomorrow and we can make it a new thing.

Taxes for the sweetums attached.
