my honest opinion on the BTS situation

I have defended BTS in the past and I do still consider myself an army, however, with the new situation going on with J-hope and RM, I find it hard to listen to their music.

I have been a fan of BTS since June 2024. I know I am considered a "baby" army, but they were my inspiration to dive deep into other kpop boy bands(nct, cortis, ENHYPEN, skz, txt, tws, boynextdoor, ateez) and they were the reason I wanted to become a kpop idol.

Now, with my understanding, RM and J-hope recently attended a Usher concert in Canada, which featured Chris Brown, and they posted it on their stories. They also met and took pictures with Chris Brown as well, which should be on J-hopes Instagram.

If you didn't know, Chris Brown is an abuser who almost killed Rihanna, had several SA cases, struck his producer with an alcohol bottle, punched Frank Ocean, and also abused several other women.

As an army, this is disappointing not only because the majority of BTS stans are female, but also because BTS built their fanbase off of love, loving others, telling people to love themselves, and telling them how much they love their fans and how important they are to them. Not to mention Namjoon(RM) telling armys he reads books about feminism and support for women.

Namjoon in that situation sounds like a hypocrite, because Namjoon went to a concert where the singer abused women while also claiming he himself is a feminist.

I still love BTS, and their music is amazing and angelic to me, but until atleast an apology is stated I will not listen to their music.

I am a women before I am a kpop fan.

I hate when people hate on BTS/BLACKPINK for being racist when they also stan racist groups

aespa, TWICE, STRAYKIDZ, ENHYPEN(EVAN), kiss of life.

BTS has been racist in the past(Specifically targeted to RM and Suga) RM wore box braids and said n words in songs. Suga also wore box braids. There are other things that the members have said, but for almost every action they did, they apologized for it. "BTS partied at the breast cancer awareness fund" "your just a toxic army" Yes, I am an army. I know some of the things they have done are unforgivable to some people, and that's why they had been held accountable for their actions.

(yes I am kind of a blink and no I don't support any of them. I'm only there for Rose) BLACKPINK has videos of them(Jennie, Lisa, Rose) pre-debut singing the N word. Jisoo also mocked desi culture. Do I think that's okay? Fuck no. I think they should be held accountable for their actions and the way they refuse to take accountability or atleast apologize isn't a good thing. There are many other incidents of other KPOP groups doing terrible things.

Giselle of aespa apologized for saying the N word but then mouthed it at the Breast Cancer Awareness event. Also, she was scene mocking desi culture during the "Money dont jiggle jiggle" thing.

Bangchan is an idol. He shouldn't have done that, whether it was cosplay or not. I am referring to him "cosplaying" as a character based on racist themes. Black people don't have to apologize for feeling offended because of his cosplay. He should have looked into research about it before posting it.

TWICE's Momo has said the N-word before and didn't apol and no one bats an eye, but they hate BTS. I really do like TWICE, but I don't understand why they hate on BTS for being racist when the enemy is RIGHT beside them. TWICE fans have TOTALLY swept the Momo thing under the rug even though she says it right then and there.

I saw someone hate on BTS for being racist and then there bias was Julie of Kiss of Life 😭 make it make sense.

EVAN(formally Heesung of ENHYPEN) has also said the N word, yet engenes brush it under a rug, just like ONCES defend Momo.

Is there anything I should do BEFORE I start training to be a kpop idol?

SO I am going to a high school dedicated to kpop as I got accepted. I understand this does not mean I am going to be a kpop idol, but is there just like, simple steps that I'm able to do?

I am a German person but because of HYBE having KATSEYE and that Saint Saltines group (I think that's what i should do?"

I know I should most likely go on a diet, study WAY more, exercise, and learn basic Korean and potentially other languages, but what should i do?

hi guys !!

im a little but my parents do not know why i age regress nor do they know the trauma i experienced )): should I ask my friends(who know im a little) for things, or should I buy them in private? My father is pretty conservative, and so far from my mothers facebook posts, she doesn't support age regression. (her most recent post being a post of "i saw this kid dressed like a baby at walmart" and it wasn't exactly positive.) My mother is not conservative but her views on age regression is questionable, so i don't exactly know what to do here

why are people suprised that not all proshippers have trauma

Like I for example-do have trauma, and I had a very traumatic childhood, but not all proshippers had terrible childhoods, like some people are just perverts. It doesn't make them less of a proshipper.

It's also annoying that people comment "oh, i hope you recover 😭 ❤️ " like NOT everyone has trauma and they'll just keep doing what they do.

Jungkook was in the right to be mad at the sasaeng

IK that this isn't a huge issue + most people agree but I have seen some comments on Instagram and TikTok that it was just "fan love" so I'm gonna bring it up.

(Info was brought to me from instagram so im not exactly sure it was true. Sorry if my english is bad english isnt my first language)

For contexts at the American Music Awards BTS won three awards. People noticed during one of the award scenes that Jungkook looked frustrated and upset. People started saying that Jungkook was being stalked by a sasaeng aka "stalker" at the awards ceremony. Most armies noticed this and were upset, especially when a rumor came out that the sasaeng was an old women who sent Jungkook gifts when he was a minor/young adult and started sending threats when the gifts weren't responded to.

Most armies are mad and upset and the women, but I have seen various comments on Instagram and Tiktok saying that Jungkook was being "dramatic" and he "didn't need to be upset" over having a stalker show up to an award show and that it was just "fan love."

People who genuinely think like this NEED to understand that IDOLS ARE HUMANS!! While I know that idols get sent a bunch of fanmail, sending an idol(who was a minor at the time) gifts and THEN sending him threats when he didn't respond is pure insanity. This just goes to show that some people really don't believe in treating people with respect, and leaving them alone. Like, can people not be alone anymore? wth??
