Do I need to solder these pins to the SSD1306 0.96 inch OLED display?

Do I need to solder these pins to the SSD1306 0.96 inch OLED display?

Hello.

I purchased this from Amazon and in the product's pictures, the display was shown with pre-soldered pins but when this arrived, it had these pins not already joined to the display.

Do I need to solder them to the display or would it work by simply inserting the pins in the display and then fitting them in the breadboard?

I don't know how to solder and I don't have a soldering kit. That's why this is a bit of an issue.

Thanks in advance.

Which STM32 board should I purchase?

Hey everyone.

I browsed through the different STM32 boards and found the Blue Pill and Black Pill boards to be cheaper than the Nucleo board.

This would be my first time purchasing and using an STM32.

Which one should I buy?

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

A beautiful and powerful painting of Lord Krishna

Om Namo Narayanaye.

I love this painting of Lord Krishna. It's not only beautiful and realistic looking but it's also very powerful and inspires awe and devotion towards Paramatma.

I admired this painting a lot and wanted to share it with other people here.

I hope you like it too.

How do I write register-level code for projects made using ESP32?

Greetings.

I am new to the world of Embedded. I would like the guidance and help of the people in this sub and I would be obliged if you kindly help me out as a beginner.

This is a bit long post but I am explaining all the issues I am facing. Please read till the end.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) I have an ESP32. I also have an Arduino Uno.

I wrote some basic register-level code for a handful of basic projects in Arduino.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2) I want to know if I am making a project in ESP, then writing the code for that project in the Application Layer with the ESP-IDF API be enough to be considered by employers or will I have two write to the register-level code for that project too, to be considered true embedded?

I personally want to write the code in both ways since I want to understand the true working of the functions I am calling and not just follow the steps given in the ESP docs.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3) My another related question is that how do I write that register-level code for ESP?

I asked Claude and ChatGPT and they told me to peel back the Application Level code layer-by-layer and then finally get to the true register-level code and then cross-reference it from the TRM and then write it myself.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4) My another problem related to this is that I am having trouble reading the official ESP code on GitHub as I am not able to fully understand it and every function has multiple parts and each part has other parts and they all go down many layers Deep before reaching the register-level layer.

I am having difficulty in understanding all that code and grasping it all in a cohesive whole.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5) Can I just reference the TRM and then write the code for the project?

But I am also having trouble reading and understanding the TRM.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These are great points of difficulty for me but I am determined to cross and overcome them as I want to work in this field.

I know this is happening since I am very new to the field of Embedded and I am probably doing it the wrong way.

It would be great if anyone helps me out regarding my issues and guides me on the right path.

Thanks a lot for reading all this. And thank you in advance for your replies.

What was the point of The Mahabharata War?

https://preview.redd.it/fpyq9uwm1jah1.jpg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eb31daabe3466918cc463009b997879beca2d893

People say that The Mahabharata War was fought to teach the future generations about Dharma and Karma.

But no one or barely anyone in this current era even fully reads The Mahabharata or even learns from its teachings and apply those lessons in their lives.

Also, Dharma wasn't being followed before The War, during The War or after The War.

Both sides committed despicable acts throughout The Epic.

And Kaliyuga started just 36 years after The War ended.

All this massive bloodshed was pointless and for nothing.

If someone says that The War was a plan orchestrated by the gods to exterminate the majority of the warriors in Bharat during that time as Earth was being plagued by those warriors and their divine astras and shastras and that The War was inevitable, then this makes the whole Epic just a fatalistic tragedy with no one having their own free will to decide the course of their lives and everything being destined beforehand.

This is my perspective on The Mahabharata War.

If anyone agrees or disagrees, I would like to know about it.

How to kill the enemy within?

My enemy is within me. It has ruined my life and is still ruining it further.

My enemy is self-sabotage, self-doubt, procrastination, depression, identity crisis & disillusion, fear of hard-work, negativity, anger, low self-esteem.

These are all my enemies. How do I kill them?

What's the state of jobs for freshers in Embedded Systems in India?

Hello.

I am about to graduate with my B.Tech in C.S.E. and I want to get into Embedded Systems.

I want to ask that what is the current state of Embedded Systems jobs for freshers in India. I mean is the job market for freshers in this field good with good number of openings? Also, what is the competition in this field? And do they hire CS students?

I don't want to come off as someone who didn't do his homework regarding this but I genuinely don't know the answers to these questions and thought that this is the best place to ask.

Thanks in advance.

Does worshipping a deity let someone be imbued with that deity's qualities?

Hello.

My question is the one in the title.

I want to know whether worshipping a specific deity / god allows us to inculcate that specific deity's / god's qualities too?

I want to worship Surya Dev.

Will worshipping Him consistently and with full devotion help me in destroying my inner darkness and make my mind and soul brighter, more positive and more energetic?

This is a genuine question because this is the last leg I am standing on. I have tried many things but nothing have improved my life so far.

I want Surya Dev's brilliance and energy to destroy the darkness in my life and help me get those same qualities.

I am ready to start chanting Om Suryaya Namaha and listen and recite the Aditya Hridayam Stotram.

I just need answer and clarification regarding this question of mine.

Any response would be appreciated.

Thank You for reading all this.

How would working at Stark International be like if it was a real company?

According to me, Stark International would be the biggest tech company in the world if it was real, no doubt about that.

And its working culture, perks, opportunities for growth, employee satisfaction etc. would also be the best in the world. Even better than what we have at real-world companies like Google or SpaceX.

Anyone working in it would be regarded with high admiration and respect, as that person would be an employee of Tony Stark himself and would be working at the bleeding edge of what would be possible in science and tech.

Everyone would be eager to work in it and join it in any capacity possible.

And if a student interned there, his life would be set.

Also, the amount of public outreach and community programs Stark International would do would also put it in great public spotlight.

This was my take on the question.

I would like to know what you think of this. Please drop your comments.

Dating of Mahabharata by India in Pixels

I think that this is the best dating and approximation of when Mahabharata occured, when it was interpolated and when it was finalised in the shape and form we know it today.

Mahabharata happened near the edge of Vedic and Later Vedic Period during the time of formation of the Mahajanapadas. The society mentioned in it belong to that period and we also see some parts of the Gupta Period's society because that is when Mahabharata was given its final form.

And that's why I think that this chart made by iip is perhaps the most accurate description of those dates.

What do you think? Do you agree or disagree? Please let me know. But provide credible facts and evidence for your claims.

Problem with the YouTube channel Science Journey, his pseudohistory, conspiracy theories and his followers

This channel is the worst and the most vile conspiracy theory and pseudohistory channel in India.

He makes all kinds of wild claims, the most prominent ones being that Buddhism is even older than Hinduism and that Hinduism originated in around 11th century C.E. and that there was no such periods as the Vedic Age and that IVC was Buddhist.

This isn't even the tip of the iceberg.

And the language he uses is the most vile and violent language one can use for Hindus. The same goes with his followers.

Just yesterday or the day before, a YouTube channel called CriticalThinkingForum run by a former IAS Awdhesh Singh, who is an atheist and rationalist himself, uploaded a video on whether Buddhism is older or Hinduism. He gave all the valid evidence and concluded that Hinduism is much older than Buddhism.

This triggered the followers of Science Journey and the kind of language they have used under his video's comment is too vile.

This menace of pseudohistory and conspiracy theories being spread by Science Journey has been going on for years.

What do you think can be done to combat it?

I would like to know your views regarding this matter.

Thanks for reading all this.

Who was the biggest devotee of Lord Krishna during the Mahabharata period?

https://preview.redd.it/d1ifxudtnm1h1.jpg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=970d1e33f02afdd7a7aaec1042b96911c25f63a8

Who was Lord Krishna's biggest devotee when he was alive during the Mahabharata period?

Was it -

  1. Arjuna

  2. Bhishma

  3. Draupadi

  4. Vidura

etc.?

I listed a few names off the top of my head. Was it anyone from this list or someone else? Who do you think fits the best for this question?

P.S. -: Only list a name from The Mahabharata. Not any other texts. That's why I didn't include Radha because she was created much later in a later text.

Why was Lord Indra denigrated so much in the Post Vedic texts?

Lord Indra was the primary deity and the most worshipped one during The Vedic Period.

He is the most invoked deity in The Rigveda, which is perhaps the most important text in Hinduism, considering it's the oldest one and it holds the origination of Sanskrit.

Lord Indra was an individual, powerful deity in The Vedas.

He was not just a mere position or a placeholder with multiple Indras taking over that position, like how many say these days.

And His personality and how He is treated in the Post Vedic texts like The Puranas and in some part, even in The Epics, is very downright disturbing and humiliating.

How and why such a central, respected and powerful deity of The Vedas was reduced to a mere mockery of His original Self? Why did it happen? And why did people stopped worshipping Lord Indra?
