I feel like everyone here is better than me. This is my dummy reddit account. I have not been able to make friends till now. I also screwed my midsems. I feel like I don't belong here. I am not even able to have fun. I am not able to match the vibe of groups here. I hate the lectures, except for 1 or 2 subjects the proffs for other subjects are so mediocre. I started preparing for midsems before 2 weeks of it,then I was suffering with fever 1 day before my maths exam(which was the first one) and I did not write the exam well and I carried the same momentum in the other exam. I did not expect my life here to turn out like this. I thought we can have fun in manipal but it's too stressful here. The crowd in cse is so brutal. I don't know what to do anymore🥀

Guys I am a fresher who applied for hackathon clubs and all. They said they would take interviews and the selection ratio is very less. Idk much about coding except basic python theory. So I wanted to connect with people who are in the same situation or applied to hackathons but have knowledge about it. Seniors of both manipal and Bangalore campus please suggest how to approach these interviews.

So I joined on 25th coz I am round 4 admission. Yeah it's been 3 days or so but still unsuccessful in finding friends. I have seen people in groups all the time. Yeah any course is fine it's not mandatory to be from btech. I don't know what to do in this situation. People are saying to make friends now only as everyone will form groups. I am interacting with everyone introducing myself and all but to no avail. There was a meeting for the people who were not able to make friends on 23rd ig. Can we do a similar meeting now?

So I basically got a seat in round 4 and I joined the hostel today. And damn everyone knows everyone and are friends with each other and I am feeling left out real bad. I'm kinda homesick too on the first day due to that. There was a meeting of guys near library but I wasn't able to go there. How to deal with this? ​​I never joined a hostel before and I am having difficulty navigating life in it and that too in this big campus

What are u guys gonna do I literally don't have any idea on plan of action. I only hv the provisional Admission letter rn.

About me: My family wants me to join in cse or its related branches only no ece,ee and everything. I was planning to join manipal main campus cse or its branches but due to deadly cutoffs this year my chances are nill. I got ee in main campus right now but my parents wont join me in it. I have vit vellore cse cat 5 right now and I am thinking of adding manipal blr cse in my choice list

I was in srichaitanya for 4 years(southees would know) and it was a coaching which would run for 12hrs. Weekly 3 exams. I got ptsd from too many exams a week. So campus life too matters for me along with placements. There is no issue with roi because the fees is almost same. I heard vit vellore follows the same system of srichaitanya like conducting too many exams like quizzes,cats,semisters and everything. I feel I would loose my mental sanity if I join vit vellore

My rank is 4532. If I put mit blr and I get it i loose my hostel in main campus. Suppose(hopium) if manipal conducts r4 and I get cse fintech (too much copium)then I would have to join a really bad hostel in that.

My main problem is in choice filling

My current choices are

Cse,fintech, mnc. I have to think whether I have to add blr cse or not

Pls help me im in a very tricky situation

Suicidal too. I got 4532 rank and i think my chances for cse fintech in r3 is nill. I am thinking of putting bangalore cse as my third option. Pls can you guys tell me pros and cons of putting that. Is bangalore good campus for cse? and should I choose cse core or aiml in that?
