board of trustees members are allowed to write recs? my parents know someone and i want to ask him but idk if there are rules against that

im planning to ed to the collage of arts and sciences. jamie lee josselyn is writing an unofficial rec for me (i dont rlly understand how it works but she’s sort of recruiting me) and a member of the board of trustees might be writing for me (if he’s allowed to). is this going to make a big difference? Im not legacy but i did do the adroit summer mentorship and the iowa young writers studio. my grades are mostly As (lowest grades are two B+s in math which isnt related to my major) and i take the maximum rigour i can. i also do other extracurriculars but competitive writing is my main one. my SAT is a 1390 but im planning to retake it. i know this is super unspecific but im worried that if i say too much ill doxx myself. is this a good profile for penn ed?

i feel guilty but its true. i dont think ive ever wanted to and thats why i never truly have for more than two months. I’ve been doing it for 6 years and every time i feel so liberated afterwards.

i cant stand them. and when i say “college influencers” i dont mean like vloggers. no. i mean the ones that give “advice” on how to get into university. LimmyTalks, Ivy League Road Map, Elise Pham, etc etc. Gohar would be on this list but he has some actually helpful videos so im gonna leave him off. idk i just need to know if im the only one bombarded with these fear mongers
