What I WANT to say is What I'll say 😅

EDIT: There's meant to be a "VS" in the title, not an "is"!!

If the time ever comes when my son asks why he doesn't have siblings or if he can have siblings. I'll say all the usual stuff, you know, "we want to give all our love to YOU and nobody else." "Its ok not to have siblings, you have lots of family your age and friends to play with." Blah blah blah and so on. Of COURSE those are along the lines of the things I will say.

But imagine telling them the truth. 🤣

"Aw, Sweetheart. I love you to death, but you were HARD work and I can't put myself through that again. And being pregnant with you and giving birth to you nearly killed me. That's why you don't have siblings, my love."

🤣🤣🤣

Just a rant.

Why is it when you say how hard you find parenting and that you're for SURE one and done for multiple reasons, people just automatically assume you must hate your child? Lmao.

I've been met with so much judgment on subreddits for talking about my mental health struggles with being a parent and my birth experience and that I absolutely wouldn't want any more children.

Its like people think I hate my kid 🤣 which isn't the fuckin case. I'd kill and die for my child, I love him with all of my heart. It's just HARD being a parent, much much harder than I ever could have anticipated, and the birth was horrific.

Just because some people take to parenting naturally, have these wonderful and amazing birth experiences, and pop out a whole army of children, they feel like they can judge when someone is OAD.

Me, when I've just got the baby off to sleep after a difficult wake, and my husband fuckin coughs, loudly.

#Dude, I love you, but die quietly. And if you can't do that then fuck off outside, and die out there. 🤣

Just wanted to share this picture of my great-grandad.

I was at my grandparents house and my Grandad showed me this photo of his dad. And I thought this would be the perfect place to share it. 😊

Something I hate myself for. 🤣

Me when my mum has my boy for the day:

I'm going to get so much done! I'm gonna clean this room and that room, and organise this and that. Might even get out in the garden, mow the grass, clean the car-

Also me:

(Does ABSOLUTELY FUCK ALL but be wrapped in a blanket, and nap all day in-between watching my TV shows, because I don't get any other DAMN TIME to do this either.)

🤣

My Boy Steve.

●Rarely leaves my parents' garden

● Gets fed every day (they spoil him)

● Bullies any other seagull that comes into the garden.

● He's big and he's bad 🤣

● Comes into the kitchen when the backdoor is open, and yells until they give him something to eat.

What a moron.

I happened to be in my hallway where the front door is when this happened. I saw an evri driver come to my front door, seemed to put a parcel down, take a picture, pick it back up then start to walk away, I opened my front door while he was still in my front yard, my parcel was in his hand.

He turned around and looked at me, kinda terrified (obviously caught in the act of taking my parcel). I held my hand out and said, "Where do you think you're going with my parcel?" He stumbled over his words, obviously not knowing what to say, I said "You didn't even knock, and I saw and heard you put the parcel down, take a pic, then pick it back up you fucking weirdo, give me my parcel!" He quickly came back, tossed it towards me, then rushed off.

What's funny is the parcel was a ring doorbell 🤣 so they hopefully can't pull that shit with me again.

Anyone else "one and done"? And if so, why?

I knew very quickly after having my boy that I NEVER wanted to do this again. EVER.

It was traumatic, I nearly died, and im not saying that as a light little joke because giving birth hurts, I mean, I literally nearly died in the following weeks after having him due to complications, It was horrific.

And I get people saying, "reckon you'll have another?" And before they even finish their sentence im like, "Absolutely not."

I'm 32, and it took me 7 long years to even carry a baby to term, had multiple miscarriages in those 7 years.

I literally don't have the energy or the strength in me to do it again. I'm not even sad about it lol. I can't even begin to tell you how extremely easy of a decision it was to NOT have another baby. I got the implant the moment I could after having him lmao.

The dread of having to communicate with my sons future friends' parents.

At my age, I'm no longer a people person, I'll be honest. I have an established friendship group, which I've had for years, I have absolutely no interest or desire in making new friendships. In fact, the thought makes me feel sick 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I will do it, of course, for my son, because as a parent, i understand you need to build at least SOME kind of bond with your kids mates parents, for when it comes to sleepovers and hanging out after school/weekends and what not. You need to be able to KNOW and TRUST these other parents, so I totally get why I have to.. But I don't WANT to 😅 And I'm dreading it tbh.

Is/was anyone else like this?

#Edit: If you can't relate, mind your business and scroll.. What's the point in downvoting me and and being a dickhead? 🤣 You kinda people are the reason I'm NOT a people person, lmao.

My love language has changed DRASTICALLY since having a baby. 🤣

My love language used to be physical touch. And now it's 100%, without any shadow of a doubt, 'acts of service', lmao.

My partner doing things to make my life easier or relieving me of something since having our child makes me SWOOOOON 😍🤣

Even little things. While I was getting our boy to sleep last night he said "What needs doing downstairs?" I said the dishes, and could do with putting a wash on." He was like "on it." I went down after and he'd also sweeped and mopped the floor. SWOOOOOOOON 😍

I never used to care about that stuff before kids, I just saw it as "this is our home and we keep it clean and tidy." And we both just cracked on. But after having a child, just seeing him do stuff like that affects me differently. 🤣

#Edit Some of these comments are wild. You dont even know me or my relationship or lifetsyle. 🤣

Oh the joys of being ill when you have a small child.

Remember the days pre-kids when you were ill, and you could just relax and heal for the day?

But now? *Nah!!* it doesn't matter that you're ill. You've got a baby to care for.. I'm on my own today, and not to be graphic, but its coming out of both ends if you know what I mean, and there's nothing I can do. I feel like *DEATH*

But the day must go on, my baby needs to be played with and cared for, and all I wanna do is sleep.

Gonna be a rough 24 hours that's for sure.

*Send strength!* 😅

Hope to god its a passing phase.

I just needed somewhere to vent a little.

All my child (10 months) wants to do lately is be ON me.. Not for cuddles, but to wriggle around and try to climb me and try to throw himself off me 😮‍💨

And I cant lie, I don't have the energy or even really any desire to do this with him alllllll daaaaaaay.

It's a very recent thing, last 3 weeks or so I'd say. I'll do it for abit, and the moment I try and do anything else with him, he starts whining and winging.. Doesn't wanna be in his walker, doesn't wanna play with his toys with me, nothing..

Only time he doesn't do this is when we're out of the house, obviously (and i can't be out all day every day). But the moment we get home, this is all that will satisfy him 😴

Sounds terrible, but when he goes to bed, I feel so much releif, and that makes me feel awful. I hope this is something that won't last because it's driving me insane lmao.

I know folk love the football, but don't take the piss!

I put my boy to bed the other night. I'm gonna assume the footie was on that night on account of hearing my neighbour and her boyfriend shouting at her TV through the walls. My baby didn't hear that though, luckily.

Anyway, what he DID hear, was when my neighbours boyfriend came outside and started fuckin blowing on a vuvuzella and screaming like a psycho. Right under my babies window.. They know I have a baby too that would have been in bed at that time.

I'm sorry, but that's a bit much.. I'm not trying to be a fun sponge or anything, i know some people take the footie really seriously and it's like some kind of religious event for them. But you have a neighbour with a BABY! Get back in your fuckin house and stop being out front blowing on that dumb horn and screaming 🙄.

And im sure any parent can understand that once your baby is asleep, that's when you finally get your peace for a while, and the last thing you want is for them to be frightened awake and then crying.

Edit:

Some of these comments though hahahah 🤣 Jesus... Its the fact he came outside to do it. Keep that shit to inside your house.

What's "that food" for your kid?🤣

For my boy, it's blueberries..The first time I gave him a blueberry, I swear you'd think I'd just given him poison by his reaction. 🤣

I was quickly like "Okie dokie, blueberries are off the menu then." 🤣 I'd never seen someone act so dramatically over tasting something. He likes every other fruit I've tried him with. But blueberries are the devil hahaha, even when I eat them, he looks at me like I must be crazy for eating something so "foul"

Are there any very specific things that calm your child? 🤣

When my 9mo is having a particularly bad day, I get him in the car, and we go to B&Q.. B&Q specifically! Because that's the one place where he relaxes 🤣 I've gone to other places, and it doesn't help, but this kid LOVES looking around B&Q. I couldn't tell you why, but it works. I've never spent so much time in a B&Q in my life.

One time, I wandered around there for 2 hours. Lmao.

How much?! 🤣

My cousin told me she gives her daughter a fiver per tooth because that's what all her friends get!

A fiver?! Jesus, we got 50p or a quid if we were lucky back when I was a kid.

I mean, if that's the norm these days, I'm good for it, so be it. But wtf? A fiver!? When did that happen? 🤣

Make it make sense..

Evri drivers RARELY deliver my parcels to MY house lmao. Despite my address being right there and pretty simple to find. They deliver to my neighbour quite abit, and I have to either go over and get it, or she brings it over to me. Annoying, but managable. But the other day, they took the piss.

I checked my notifications, as it said two parcels of mine had been deleived (they obviously hadn't). I checked the photographic evidence of delivery, and both parcels were delivered to two completely different houses? Even though the same address was on both, MY ADDRESS! 🤣

One delivery was up the road from me, i recognised the house in the picture, and the other I didn't even recognise at all! Looked like it was in some kind of alleyway somewhere, lmao. And I couldn't help but think, how could one driver be such a fuckin moron?! 🤣

My house is not difficult to find, yet they never actually deliver to my house, EVER.

Don't think I've ever had a single delivery from Evri actually go to plan. Whenever I see that it's Evri delivering my parcels I roll my eyes and sigh because I think "Great..Where's this parcel gonna end up?" 🤣

Absolute joke of a courier service.

Is sleep regression a sure thing or do some kids not go through it?

Did your child go through it? Did they not? I'm curious.

My boy has been a phenomenal sleeper since he was 3 months old, and im sick of people saying smugly "ooooh just you wait till the sleep regression." He's 9 months now, and he's still an amazing sleeper. He very rarely wakes in the night.

Of course, I'm on my toes haha, he might still go through it, but I just wondered if anyone's little one didn't.

Grandparent very disappointed that were not going to have anymore kids. And keeps bringing it up.

Safe to say our boy (9 months) is going to be our one and only. Firstly, it took us 7 years to actually have our boy. I had a number of miscarriages in those 7 years. Secondly, I nearly died after having him due to complications from my c-section, which have scared the life out of me. And thirdly, though my child was so wanted and I love him more than anything in this world, my PPD and PPA was HORRIFIC, and i hated feeling like that, I'm finally better, but the thought of possibly going through that again is something I don't want!

Also, I'm not getting any younger, I'm 33, and my partner is 38. This is our personal view, of course, but we don't want to have another child THIS old to be honest.

Anyway, me and my partner had a big chat, and decided this is it, and we're happy to just have our boy. I'm going to wait a couple of years then plan to have a full hysterectomy (as I also suffer immensely during my time of the month and it'll be nice to not have that, or worry about getting pregnant ever again). I spoke to my mum and Dad, told them everything, and they agreed and supported our decision. However, when we told my partners parents, his mum had a very bad reaction, she was incredibly upset and disappointed that there would be no more grandchildren. She's free to feel that way, I'm not trying to dissmiss her feelings, but even after explaining everything to her, i got the vibe that she just kinda feels like I should "suck it up."

At the end of the day, this is *my* body, and our decision as a couple, I get it, she would have liked more grandchildren, but it is what it is, and *she's* the one who should suck it up. But now, it keeps getting brought up, and little comments are being made, I've stopped explaining myself to her everytime she makes comments on it now, but she keeps saying things and its starting to really piss me off to be honest.

Not sure how to go about it from this point on. It doesn't matter what we've said, the comments just keep coming.
