12 days in Georgia

What do you guys recommend for our itinerary?

Of course we want to see all there is to see in old town, then we’re planning to visit Kazbegi and want to stop at all of the main viewpoints and attractions along the way.

Any recommendations on how to structure the trip or places we shouldn’t miss?

How would you structure 12 days in Tblisi if you were me?

Best scenery in autumn

My girlfriend and I will be living in Old Town Tblisi sometime around Oct 20-Nov 20. We have some time to explore and need some expert opinion!

We were originally very excited about Svantei because we saw pictures of the green foliage, but that is during summer, and we saw that everything is brown during the months we will be there

Questions:

  1. Is svaneti in fact more brown during October - November? Is it worth going to or is there another place your recommend for autumn time in particular?

  2. What’s the best and most scenic place to go to during autumn? I heard Racha is the best?

  3. How do you recommend getting there from Tblisi? If we wanted to drive ourselves, is it difficult?

Freelancing ideas

Hi all,

I’m going to be quitting my job and traveling before I head to law school. I’m looking for some freelancing skill I can build to carry me through my travels, law school, and support me and my significant other.

What kind of freelancing would you recommend for someone like me? What do you do? I’m ready to put in the work, just need to some ideas to research.

My background is in real estate, made 6 figures by 22 by way of social media content creation. Then, wore multiple hats in a law firm helping with business operations and legal assistance. Now, quitting and pivoting again. Let me know, thank you!

Where should I live?

Hello! I’m from the US and in the next few months I’m going to be living Istanbul for 2 months. Thus, I’m looking for your input.

I’ve stayed near Galata port and near Galata tower before. I enjoyed both locations. However, I found that being near Galata port required more frequent transportation to get around, and I found that being near galata tower was quite nice, but also a bit too overcrowded. Overall, enjoyed both areas. A lot of people mention kadikoy, but honestly the pictures just look okay?

Please help me out on where you think I should stay. We enjoy beautiful scenery, busy is okay but not too overcrowded. Walking distance to cafes and grocery stores is ideal! Thank you!!!!

Legal assistant moving states and thus job: need advice

Hey all!

Background:
I broke into the legal world 2.5 years ago as I went back to finish undergrad.

I’ve been doing intake for a business litigation firm for the past 2 years, but my role has slowly turned into more of a legal assistant/operational role.

Tasks include: managing an intake team of 2, e-filing, docketing, mailings, onboarding, off boarding, drafting offer letters to new employees, recruiting, advance fee agreements, disengagements, new file setups, packaging default judgments, garnishments, etc.. additionally, I do various other random projects and communicate with clients and vendors.

Question:
I’m looking to move states (Arizona to Northern California) but I’m nervous about finding a good opportunity there. It’s hard to call myself a legal assistant when I wear so many hats… intake team manager? HR? Legal assistant? I’m a jack of all trades but a master of none.

I want to grab your opinion on what I can realistically get job wise when I move.. another legal assistant role? Entry level paralegal? Back to intake? Will I continue to make 30/hour with paid holidays or do you think it would be a struggle to find that with me being early in my career?
