has anyone noticed a problem with the cards from the sleepy songs pack?

hi, friends!

when i was listening to the yoto sleep radio, i noticed an audio playback problem called "aliasing" where some notes are distorted or crackled.

this happpened with the cards that have piano or music box as the instrument in the songs (like mindful piano).

should they change the piano and music box soundfont? if so, what would they use?

an excerpt from a music box arrangement of a lullaby/nursery rhyme heard on the yoto sleep radio

hi, friends!

this is the excerpt that i was talking about on my previous post.

what’s this song called? i loved this and wanted to listen to some other versions.

here’s something i need help with.

hi, friends!

this is something i’ve been working on. but you may have noticed something strange.

there are no long vowels, so what long vowel goes in which level?

which level do i put “oi/oy” in? are there some sounds that needed to be moved to a certain level?

also, i’m looking for some beta readers for my book series.

any tips or compliments would be appreciated.

edit: to clarify, this is grouped by difficulty level. how hard are the sounds that are shown in the image, especially long vowels?

dear therapists, am i scared of letters or just overreacting?

hello there!

another fact about me is: i'm scared of digraphs and blends. (sometimes the sound, but always the letters.) but am i?

i tried to play this song and started the stopwatch at 26 seconds into the song while focusing on this visual, and i focused for 2 minutes.

when i tried other songs, i focused for a short amount of time.

(i'm on this site, so i have to try to focus on the visual while looking at the sound introduction screen.)

how can i look at the letters for longer than 0.5 seconds? is it a matter of practice and getting used to looking at it?

there's a problem with the use of quotation marks in a story.

hi, friends!

when i was looking at some storybooks, i noticed that the punctuation placement in quotation marks for character dialogue seems weird.

here are some examples (they're not from books.):

  1. "meow!" said the cat. (not "meow!", said the cat.)

  2. i said "where is my dog?" (not i said "where is my dog?".)

  3. the pig says "oink!" the cow says "moo!" (is it correct to put a period after the dialogue's punctuation?)

  4. "hello," said jake. (not "hello!", said jake.)

  5. "the song 'friends forever' was great!" said coco. (why apostrophes instead of quotation marks?)

the question is: why is it like this? which of the following example sentences are correct?

hi, friends!

when i heard the song "suo gan" (meaning "lullaby song"), the song is actually nice, but theoretically confusing.

the melody sounds like it's in 3/4, but the sheet music says it's 4/4.

here's the wikipedia article to "suo gan": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suo_Gân

i'm planning to make a piano arrangement, but how do i play the rhythm?

hi, friends!

i listened to the yoto sleep radio while doing something on the pages app, but then a music box song came up.

something interesting is that piano versions of traditional lullabies have a music box version.

what i know is that the music box song might be a traditional lullaby.

it sounds like the chinese folk song “mo li hua (lit. jasmine flower)”, but it’s not.

you can listen to the yoto sleep radio here. just wait till it comes on, then let me know. (the piano version counts.)
