breast shrinkage

Hello! I'm considering removing my Nexplanon and settling for a more temporary b/c so I can control as and when I am on it easier alongside my sexual activity (the only reason I am on birth control is so I avoid pregnancy and I am sexually inactive).

I was a lot thinner before birth control, after 1 year on it I started to gain healthy weight. I love my body as it is now, I am strong, healthy and most of all I love my breasts. From A cups to C cups it was the biggest difference I noticed and I really do not want them to shrink.

I'm unsure if the weight gain was due to the implant or not as it did occur gradually after a year I had it inserted. It's not something I'm worried about I am just curious

If i remove my implant will the reduction in hormones 'shrink' my breast size?

Let me know if I'm being stupid :)

advice for coming off bc

Hey! I know no one can tell me what to do etc, but I don't really have any girl friends to speak about this with.

context : I've been on the implant since my 16th bday (I'm turning 20 this year) and I just broke up with my boyfriend so I'm thinking of coming off birthcontrol. Why force my body to undergo hormonal stress for no reason? I initially got the implant as my parents suggested it once i started becoming sexually active with my first ever boyfriend - just to prevent pregnancy nothing else as my periods were normal.

I want to get the implant removed, as the lady placed it so close to the surface it's very itchy, and to regulate my bodies hormones. Also i bleed almost everyday since getting it inserted. I also just do not want it anymore.

However, I am scared of getting pregnant. I start uni this year, and although I do not plan to have sex as I want to focus on my degree who knows what will happen. I know condoms exist (and I'd be using them anyways) but they're way less effective than the implant, plus they can rip, boys can take them off without telling me. In this sense the implant really eases my mind. I could always go back on it sure, but it is just a hassle and then there would be no point of having it out.

What I'm asking for any advice on is: Is the hormonal imbalance better than the stress of pregnancy scares?

breakup w boyf - how do I get closure without disrespecting his wishes

I broke up with my boyfriend due to several reasons, nothing too extreme just typical things like arguments where we both hurt each other but he crossed the line of disrespect and I gen thought he was going to hit me (I am a female).

How do i deal with the frustration of not getting the closure or goodbye I needed?

The breakup was short, he did not even look at me or say anything so i just left after breaking up with him. I eventually messaged him after a couple of days and told him I'm going insane, like why didn't he say anything or contact me first or try to even understand why I did that?

He just said he needed to hurt and move on alone and speaking to me will 'reset' his progress.

I am normally the same way with arguments, whereas he needs to speak straight away. But this is the other way around and I am going insane! I wanted atleast a 'goodbye' or a hug, maybe a proper talk where he understood me. Before we broke up I tried to explain what happened but he did not understand how i felt, instead he dismissed my feelings of the whole argument (and how I for a second thought he might hit me) and overrode them by trying to tell me how he is such a 'good guy' and would never hit anyone - not even addressing anything else. I haven't been heard or valued, and it is really frustrating.

I understand of course people respond differently, but without disrespecting his needs can anyone please give advice on how i can feel a sense of closure? I am stubborn so explaining myself to him or anyone for the 10038237th time probably isn't an option lol.

Gap year lonliness

I'm currently on my gap year waiting to start Uni in September for Medicine. Does anyone have any advice for the lonliness during summer?

I just broke up with my boyfriend, one of my friend's in Ecuador until Uni starts, the other is also on a gap year but we have kind of grown distant since A-Levels and haven't seen each other (we are outgrowing the friendship it feels) so that leaves just me.

I work 4-6 times a week so im not going completely insane, ive started several hobbies knitting, language learning, gem art but im just always so bored and cannot stick to a hobby. I have little to no motivation to do anything although i want to, am i the only one?

I feel like im supposed to be fulfilling some amazing gap year fantasy of travelling or volunteering but it isnt too realistic for me. Any advice?

*I took the gap year due to me missing my initial offer in hopes to resit but i got lucky enough to obtain an offer in which i did not need to resit. It wasn't a planned gap year if that adds anymore context*

▲ 8 r/KCL

I recently got accepted in KCL for their medicine programme (unconditional offer), and I'm extremely nervous. I'm typically a very go with the flow, spontaneous person but recently I've been feeling quite worried about London itself. I live in the midlands so its a big difference as I'm from a smaller area. I'm nervous about navigating London specifically with the tube system and everything, and also with how big London is. I'm nervous I wont meet my people even tho there are so many. It could just be nervous of starting a new chapter and I'm trying to psych myself by thinking I wont belong.

Furthermore, my accomodation is on my campus, so I dont think Ill be needing to travel on the tube much. Is it worth my buying an oyster card? if so what do i need to get and whats the chepeast deals etc.

Thankyou in advance! All advice is appreciated (:
