S200 crankset DUB, not DUB Wide

Anyone know the part number for a non-wide version of the S200 crankset with 170mm arms? Ordered 00.6118.774.003 but it is dub wide despite the various descriptions online suggesting it would be regular dub width. Thanks

GRX crankset on 87 F1000?

Can anyone confirm if a modern grx 1x crankset fits an F1000 frame with bsa 68mm BB? Chain stays look narrow but I'm unable to find dimensions of the crank arms other than it has a q factor of 151mm.

Edit, 1997

32 flatbar gravel bike?

Anyone making flatbar gravel frames? 32" version of a Scott scale gravel rc with a threaded bottom bracket and rear rack mounts for a kid seat is my current grail. Fully rigid, doesn't need to be carbon.

Narrower range MTB cassette options?

Anyone else find the spacing of 12 speed transmission cassettes annoying? The 18 to 21 tooth jump in the middle of the cassette is noticeable compared to adjacent shifts and the lowest couple of gears would be even worse if I actually used them, lol.

Wondering if there's enough interest for sram to offer a narrower range cassette for those who don't need 500+ % spread. My old 11-40 xtr is plenty for where I ride and has a really nice progression throughout.

Quoting details - what's important to list?

What's important to list on a quote sheet to get comparable quotes and ensure quality materials are being used? I'm getting vague 'shingles, vents, etc' and a total price but unsure if it's reasonable to expect a more detailed list.

One sleezy sounding salesman was pushing a good / better / best pricing model and suggested everything was different between them, down to the nails used.

Maybe the labor is the biggest factor and all of this is moot but I'd like to sound at least somewhat educated when reviewing bids. Thanks!

Functional differences between ridge and box vents?

Can box vents be removed and a ridge vent be installed instead? Is there some inherent difference in airflow between the two, assuming an equivalent flow area?

Coombed ceiling / roof insulation

Have an old house with combed ceilings in an upstairs room. I think there's cellulose in the rafters but no venting in the eves now. The flat attic section has r40+ fiberglass. I can see some signs of uneven heat loss in winter from blotchy snow melting that I'd like to address

Time for a new roof so thinking it's a good time to remove decking and using closed cell foam to fill the rafters in the coombed sections, unsure how to detail the transition to vented attic space above though. How high to run the foam and how to detail the roofing above this area?

Re venting, there's a gable end vent and 2 box vents in this attic. The attic is attached to a newer addition that has eve vents and a ridge vent. For better or worse, it's been this way for 30yrs.

Can I replace the box vents with a ridge vent? I understand the risk of short circuiting, etc. but think they'd apply equally to a ridge vs box vent.

Tire inserts for 26"

Looking for tire inserts for 26" wheels. Looks like Vittoria & cush core no longer support 26'ers and the tannus liner is designed for tubes.
