Just pulled the trigger on this 54” magnum. Looking forward to the first cut even if it’s at the seasons end.

New home. Very mature catalpa tree. Looks like this lower limb was pruned by power company at some point. The tip was cut back significantly. New this year are all these new branches popping up along this branch. Any thoughts on pruning to keep aesthetic? Would it hurt the tree at all to prune these in fall? Also might it cause too much weight on this branch if left to grow?
So i am trying to figure out what type of bead this seal needs. After measuring I bought a 5/16 and 1/4 T track seal obviously its more rounded so a perf. Measurement was hard. Its def closer to 1/4” tho, but i can not get either to fit. Is there a different track shape i should be looking at? Do i just push through the frustration and put more elbow grease into pulling the 1/4” through?
Hard as a sea shell. I assume it’s a dried/hardened fish fin but Idk. What do you think?
I inherited a really mature set of vines growing on top of a trellis. Plan on pruning back after this season just to see whats what but, wondering on companion plants for the ground under canopy. I assume marigolds and maybe basil or lavender but i have lots of deer and its a shady spot. Any ideas?
Southeast MI. This “shrub” is all over my front yard. Long straight stems that are hollow.
