my understanding is neuro is a less competitive specialty. At the t5, t20, t50, etc level, how would you say these factors compare in importance for residency apps in comparison to other fields?

For instance I recall community service/leadership is huge in ER but not so much research, whereas the competitive specialties almost solely value research. Does neuro have such trends?

On the eighth anniversary of her son’s passing, Nyla planted near his gravestone two lemon trees and four human teeth, stolen from the two men who’d killed him. The saplings were a worthless offering - soil in these parts wouldn’t nourish them for long, and assuming the plant didn’t collapse from mold or infestation in the first year, the fruit would be wrinkly and dried. But unlike most children, Xiao had a taste for sour things. He sucked on lemons, lips puckered and eyes as wide and round as the cheap plastic pearls that sold for thirty-seven coin in the day-market.

“Salted little fish,” she once called him, gazing up at her with his head knocked back all the way, as if fish could smile and suck on lemons in their smoky cinderglass jars.

 He’ll never die of scurvy, she often thought, Alva blessed him that much. In saccharine gratitude, she’d dip her head towards that metallic hornet’s nest of a building that was supposed to be the local church. When she was young, she thought me to be a benevolent god and knew little of the blessings that I did not offer. 

But she was right. Xiao indeed did not die of scurvy. 

She’d dug those saplings out of a rich man’s rooftop garden, up that polished marble mansion surrounded by skeleton buildings. She yanked out the plants with her bare hands, till dusty splinters pricked her calloused palms, then made her way through the Farm-Village to the burial site. In the Sixth Ring, the mountains and storms made love in the sky, their icy affections raining down upon the rigid bodies below. They tossed and turned in their heavenly bed, the unstable, violent nature of their love buried deep into the blood of the mortals who dared approach them.

Hi everyone! I’ve been asked by a friend who is a school principal to print a bunch of fidgets for some local kids. I’m donating them. I usually print the flexi-animals but am looking for more variety. I see there’s a bunch of infinity cubes, hoping to find the most ideal one to mass print.

Ideally approximately 30 grams, would be nice if it had fun designs or textures. No sharp edges so rounded is preferred. I prefer no brims or supports. Chances are I will use 3 walls even if 2 are suggested for safety reasons though I will be instructing the recipients not to give them to kids young enough to put them in their mouths regardless.

Please link any favorites!

Also if anyone has suggestions beyond the cube…I have enough flexi animals done, but anything that’s fun and object shaped (like eggs or fruits or flowers) without too many thin breakable pieces.

Subscribed Calendar has no events

Our school gives us iCal links (.ics) with our schedule, new one approx every month. It was working before but today my calendar got wiped. In fact all my previous calendars got wiped, except for a few weeks of the previous calendar from last month. But it’s only wiped for me, and my classmates have their calendars.

I’ve tried restating my phone, unsubscribing and resubscribing, checking that my sync is on, etc. I had my friend send it to me from their populated calendar and it still doesn’t work. I’ve tried importing on my Mac (where it’s also not synced) and it shows “no events” but I KNOW there are events :(

Please help, I’ve been troubleshooting for hours. Nothing on Google.
