Is my SFX just too realistic or what because even when I add tags and spoiler and flair I get INSTANTLY flagged by Reddit and removed 😭

Hi all, I (24f) and dad (27m) have been struggling with kiddo’s (4m) temper and I’m looking for any advice on how to co-regulate, and teach helpful self soothing techniques.

My approach when a meltdown seems imminent tends to be state the expectation firmly and calmly, try to limit any back and forth to avoid a power struggle, and if he flips his lid I try to stay nearby but look unaffected and take deep breaths, he usually joins me pretty quickly and if he needs it I offer a hug and sometimes a sip of water and we go from there.

Dad tends to struggle with raising his voice and feeding into the back and forth and kiddo’s repeating/whining because it irks him so bad.
I don’t like to butt in, but I have in the past to offer a break, & we take a minute to breathe together and hug and that works but I’d just like any input from other parents (dads especially) what has worked for y’all? How did you figure out how to cope with the frustration? What are y’all’s best self soothing strategies? For yourself and for the kids.
Sometimes it just feels like an endless uphill battle and I’m hoping for any insight y’all may have.
