Oh. That's a sticker of Susie heading towards the lake.

Oh. There is only one possible place for the Sun to be visible when it's setting.

One possible place where the Sun is not covered by the trees when it's going down.

The lake.

Reverse request: PLEASE draw the "Kris, YOU actually changed" scene but with Abigail as Noelle instead

(the first image is a mock up for what I had in mind. as you can see the result, i need to beg you talented artists instead)

I've been replaying Stardew and it made me realize how much both Abigail and Noelle have in common:

  1. Both want to become stronger

  2. Both are interested in going out of their home town

  3. Both are gamer girls who's interested in the paranormal

  4. Both are the ones we can see harming a monster in their home town

  5. Both have a relation to the lake

  6. Both have a mother whose name start with CAROL

  7. Is a child of a powerful figure in their home town. (Pierre not only being the shop owner, but his family is powerful and big enough to host an aerobic club and a religion meeting in their home.)

  8. I want to marry both of their mom

  9. There is a RING OF THORNS ITEM IN BOTH GAMES???????

Inscryption Theory, and how Deltarune is built on top of another game

Don't mind me, I'm just throwing cocaine at the wall and see what sticks. I'm just putting this here so if I get it right in the future I can claim the clout and the bragging right.

If you have played the Hex and Inscryption by Daniel Mullins, you might know exactly where I am going. If you haven't, and you are in this sub because you like Deltarune, PLEASE GO PLAY THEM. The twist and the meta aspects are superb. On Onion-san, you are going to love it. If you hate Onion-san and don't want to try it then imma summarize briefly:

  1. In the Hex, all characters in the game organized a plan to lure you, the player, to play the game and open the portal into our world so they can kill their developer. Because each character is sentient, they are aware of how the developer tortured and abandoned them. The oldest character in this game is actually the one organizing the plan.
  2. In Inscryption, when you start the game, there is no "new game" button and there's only the continue button. The big twist is that the game you are playing is actually created from a retro game where the characters in the game discover some data hidden in it, and the data is so cursed that they become powerful and sentient. (Also the data is so bad and cursed that people tried to destroy it. And also the data is, get this, related to Hitler. How? Please play the game lmao) So the game we are playing is actually built on top of the existing game. And the main boss of the existing game "surface" on top to talk and play with the player.

The summary doesn't do it justice, please go play it. They are peak. And they inspire me to have this theory: Deltarune might be built on top of an existing game. And surprisingly there are a lot of evidence backing this.

ok i got lazy half way so i dont think i can finish this beautifully (sry) but basically you know how in chapter 4 gerson talk about how the lord of the hammer is inspired by the prophecy, and how that video game (im lazy sry) is based on gerson's story. and how in chapter 3 its basically confirmed that the game tenna has us played is built on top of another game.

and that led me to believe that deltarune is built on top of another game. theres just way too many mentions of a story being built on top of an existing story for it to not mean anything. not to mention how in chapter 3 man country they said "the whole world used to be like this." and i also believe that eram is a character from this "unaltered" game. maybe in the process of creating deltarune, gaster just find whatever bs he could find and used it as a base for deltarune? maybe one of the characters got hit with gaster's special sauce and that made them powerful and aware enough that made gaster go "oh shit this could be interesting" and keep em as a lab partner? and thats how eram came to be? (note that i dont think the sword route game is literally the original game, its a clue to point us that there IS an original game) (i also believe that the forgotten man is from here as well. but instead of working with gaster directly, he just evades gaster so gaster can't patch him out directly. think of the Rat Man in the portal series)

i believe that in this original game, you can just snowgroove all over the place, and thats why eram is aware of it, and tries to guide us into doing it (chapter 3 sword route). i think eram is an expert on this, thats why eram is the one guiding us and not gaster and why he's not commenting us on this at all (all emails responses seem to be written by only eram) but they are still working together (the "INTERIM RESULT" page being all capped). thats why even though gaster can connect us and oversees us, he doesnt comment on us and the side b stuff at all. but the fact that eram is aware of it, and has the nerve to send us that "so what do you think" after 2 hours of chapter 5 released if you responded "under the lake" in the email. the weird route IS intentional in the original game, and it seems to be surfacing to the surface. thats why it seems like they are both intentional and unintentional. it seems like its unintentional and seems like we are breaking the game, because we are. we are breaking the surface of the game. the surface gaster didnt fully prepare for this scenerio. a consequence he didnt foresee us creating. it seems like its intentional, because it is. it's intentional in the original game. thats why it asks us for chapter 7 side b.

the dynamic between them both seem to be like

gaster: see little guy, they are creating a vessel-- what the fuck are you doing why are you discarding it

eram: trust me on this boss. just get the soul into another human it will be interesting

gaster: okay. ok now what are you trying to get the soul and this second-hand vessel into doing

eram: boss check this out. where im from, you can just snowgravy everybody

gaster: whats that

eram: imma just show you. can you connect me to the blue hair kid for a sec lmaooo this will be dope

ps. you know how toby had the fever dream in 2011? and how he released the halloween hack, which is built on top of earthbound, in 2008? i can see how he would have a fever dream about a character from earthbound surfacing on top of the halloween hack and talk to toby like "what yall know about snowgravel lol"

i ordered crack and cocaine and i have been smmmoooookkkiinnggg it

Why did everyone in Hometown just let a bedridden man finish hanging the lights with a ladder unsupervised?

At the beginning of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Songbird calls herself "Songbird the cat" despite literally having BIRD in her name. This is a subtle foreshadowing that she's a liar and a FUCKING TRAITOR

Why do you think Kris hides their eyes from us?

I thought their hair just happened to cover their eyes and they simply didn’t bother moving it out of the way or something. But in Chapter 5, it seems they are actively trying to hide their eyes from us. Why do you think that is?

Or maybe they remember when Dess used to prettify and groom their hair, and they simply just want to keep it as close as possible to how she styled it. Or maybe just for aura idk

River makes me actually understand women

You know, like, I saw my friends being genuine nice guys (not "nice guys" according to the internet) just like River to their crush and they often got heartbroken. Like, I was confused, but the more I grow old, the more I began to understand it.

And then River actually made me "get" it. Like, holy fuck. Damn. Yikes dude.

edit: guys im not saying dude is a terrible murderer and he's a bad guy. the point is that dude is saint. he's genuinely a great and likable guy, but despite that, you can and may feel uncomfortable around him. being a great guy doesn't make women automatically fall for you, and even if you are a saint, you can still make some of them uncomfortable. that's what im "get"ting from this. like, i fucking love river and the world needs more of him, but the entire quest line involving him is just so awkward man.

Momiji introduction will be Rentarou visiting and helping at the animation studio, and at the end Nozawa and Nakamura sensei will draw a thank-you page for the animators. Hell we might even see their drawings being crudely animated. TRUST!!!!!!

Imagine it's just the PNG of Rentarou moving because Nakamura and Nozawa sensei want to alleviate the pain of the animators. That would be so funny and on-theme lmao

Okay let's get serious for a second, wtf is actually happening?

In Highguard's case, there were a lot of flaws and too many constraints that limit the fun players can have (bad optimization, 3v3 players which left nothing for the players to kill, server connectivity issues, gameplay loop being too sweaty, etc) and that killed its momentum and the player counts. And then not even 2 weeks later they laid off most of the staff. Everybody could see from a mile away that this game had no future left and that it was pointless to stay. I feel horrible saying this, but it made senses for Highguard to fail.

But it doesn't make senses for me to see Marathon losing so many players. I'm too broke to buy it but I have heard that the game itself was fun, the gunplay is amazing, and although it's aimed toward sweaty players, there were genuine blasts to be had. And despite it losing players, the developers still have some future and Sony really tried to push it to succeed and even put it in the State of Play. So, unlike Highguard, the game definitely has a future if you want to stick with it. AND it costs money, it makes senses to stick with it and get your money worth.

So wtf is happening here? Can any marathon players please enlighten me?
