The Caretaker's story starts with The Ballroom Trilogy, being fond rememberances, but then after a stroke, (Cerebral Haemorrhage from hiver : résultat) The Caretaker develops amnesia leading into Deleted scenes, forgotten dreams and Persistent repetition of phrases.

And since the last track of Persistent repetition of phrases is named "Unmasking Alzheimer's," It leads into An empty bliss beyond this world and eventually Everywhere at the end of time.

Theoretically pure anterograde amnesia is left out of the main timeline, instead it splits into an alternate timeline.

After the stroke, instead of developing retrograde amnesia, The Caretaker develops anterograde amnesia, which means that The Caretaker becomes unable to form newer memories.
