I think she wears a crown & King's outfit with cape & on one page sits at a desk by candlelight. Most of the book is her imaging herself as this tryrant & being cruel & unpleasant to others. Towards the end it returns to reality & she makes up with a friend who she had a disagreement with(?)
The illustrations are done in relatively simple black line art. It was in the collection of books my 1st grade class had. Judging by the way I recall the drawings looked it was already a bit of an older book then, possibly anywhere from the '70s to '90s, maybe even earlier.
I think there was another book by the same author as I recall the art style looked similar. I believe it showed all sorts of cities & villages, some with a more fantastical quality. The only distinct memory I have of it is that one page showed a village high up in the mountains.
I've just never forgotten about it cause that wild steamroller scene.. Thanks for any insight~
Was surprised to find this displayed by a vendor at Connecticon over the weekend. I haven't watched the OVA before but have heard of its reputation & the price seemed like a steal so I couldn't resist acquiring such an odd entry in Clamp's library.
A friend of mine owns a player so I'll have to wait till my next visit to check out the disc but I thought the sleeve will make for a nice display piece. Although the seal was open it's in very good condition & even included a cool Miyuki chan paper doll set in mint condition!
Recently came across this site Judy's Emporium (apparently formerly called Judewear) & I can't find ANY mentions of it online. The emoji face logo is sort of causing me to raise an eyebrow & when I went to the checkout the only shipping option was free shipping which given they say items ship from China seemed strange to me. Curious if anyone has econountered them before or had an experience.

It's the sad piano tune that starts playing when Lincoln hands Chandler his Rip Hardcore backpack at 2:43. You might already know the one I'm talking about, it is used soo often & yet I can't find it ANYWHERE!
I assume that it was composed for the show & is not a piece of library music like most of the other background ost tracks. I just can't believe I can't find it on YouTube or anywhere else! Especially considering how it seems it's easier for ppl to extract background audio from shows these days using ai tools. Maybe I'll have to give it a try myself..
If anyone knows the song tho please share/ link it, I've wanted to find it ever since I first started watching the show & noticed how ubiquitous this simple yet sad/ heartful tune is. It almost became funny to me how it would start playing near the resolution of an episode like clockwork.

To me she'll always be the best there ever was♥️
