Should i consider Uk in 2027 September intake need advice

I’m planning to apply to the UK for the September 2027 intake and would appreciate advice from current students or anyone with experience studying there. I have about 10 months to prepare, plan to take IELTS, and expect to obtain my driving licence during this period. I’m considering a Computer Science degree.

  1. What should I focus on during these 10 months?
  2. Is it realistic to balance studying with a part-time job to help cover living expenses and some tuition fees?
  3. Which skills would improve my chances of finding part-time work?
  4. Should I learn any CS-related technical skills before starting my degree?
  5. What else should I do to prepare?

I’d especially value honest advice from current international students in the UK. Thank you!

Need advice on choosing university for good carear

Need advice about choosing university in Peshawar

I want to hear your opinions about my situation.

I am more of a self-study person. From what I know, many universities in Peshawar focus more on theory and do not provide enough practical exposure, especially in fields like computer science and cybersecurity. In the end, students have to learn many skills by themselves through courses, labs, and certifications.

Along with my studies, I also work on content creation for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. My goal is to build skills in cybersecurity and continue growing my online work.

I am thinking about getting admission to Government College Peshawar because it may give me more free time to focus on cybersecurity certifications, practical learning, and content creation.

Do you think this is a good decision, or should I prioritize a university with a stronger name even if I get less time for self-learning?

I would appreciate advice from students or graduates, especially those from Peshawar.

Planning to get hollyland lark a1

I'm planning to get the Hollyland LARK A1 mainly for recording YouTube videos and voiceovers. My budget is around 40-50$ (or a similar price range).

My priorities are:

Best possible voice quality

Natural, deep, clean sound

Good noise cancellation

Reliable connection

Long-term durability

For those who have used the LARK A1 or compared it with other mics, would you recommend it, or is there a better option in this budget?

I'd really appreciate recommendations based on your real experience rather than just the specifications. Thanks!

Title: What should I focus on during my BS in CS to get ahead in cybersecurity?

I'm currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science, and my goal is to build a career in cybersecurity.

Instead of just graduating with a degree, I want to spend the next four years building practical skills that will put me ahead of 90% of other students.

If you were starting from scratch today, what would you focus on?

I also have a few questions:

  1. Which certifications should I focus on during university?

  2. Is it true that learning offensive security first (ethical hacking, penetration testing, etc.) makes it easier to become good at defensive security?

  3. If you had four years of university again, what roadmap would you follow to become highly employable after graduation?

I'd really appreciate advice from people already working in cybersecurity. Thanks in advance

BS Computer Science or BS Cyber Security if my goal is a career in Cyber Security?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to start my bachelor's degree, but I'm confused between BS Computer Science and BS Cyber Security.

My long-term goal is to build a successful career in cyber security, such as penetration testing, cloud security, or security engineering.

Many people say that a BS in Computer Science gives a stronger foundation and more career flexibility, while others recommend BS Cyber Security because it's more specialized.

If you work in the industry or have studied either degree, which one would you recommend and why?

I'd really appreciate advice based on:

Job opportunities

Skills learned

Long-term career growth

Which degree employers value more for cyber security roles

Please share your experience and the reasons behind your recommendation. Thanks!

CS Student Needing Help to Buy a Laptop

Hi everyone,

I never thought I would make a post like this, but here I am.

I'm a Computer Science student from Pakistan, and I come from a lower-middle-class family. My parents work very hard just to cover our basic expenses. Paying for a laptop is simply beyond what we can afford right now.

The hardest part is that almost everything in my degree depends on having a computer. I want to learn programming, AI, video editing, and build projects that could eventually help me earn online and support my family.

I'm not looking for luxury. Even a decent used laptop would completely change my situation and allow me to continue learning, building projects, and applying for freelance work.

Asking strangers for help is honestly embarrassing, but I've reached a point where I don't know what else to do.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope that one day I'll be in a position to help someone else the way I'm asking for help today.

Thank you ❤️

note: Paypal is ban in our country if any one wants to help me let me know in comment or simply DM me.
