I never thought Id have higher wr with rengar than nocturne

So Ive spent quite a bit of time learning rengar, champs hard to pilot and in my elo (plat) teammates still dont understand properly how he works so they dont synergize with his kit how they should (e.g. expecting me to engage when im spampinging my engage teammates to go in etc.).

But overall on rengar Ive learned to carry games and kinda 1v9 with 60%+ winrate in plat 2 elo.

But nocturne genuinely feels bad. Poor guy now has 48% wr. I feel worse on him than on rengar, given how much easier nocturne is to pilot than rengar, it feels rly bad.

Just think about this - Nocturne and rengar have comparable winrates now. Thats absurd! Rengar is arguably the hardest jungler in the game and needs deep understanding and mechanics. Nocturne is a newbie friendly champ (which i think is great), but that should automatically make his wr closer to 50% because there is less room for error.

I think I gotta say farewell to my previous soloQ safe champ. I used to love noc. I still do when rengar is banned as its a similar playstyle so I have my instincts for it, but champ just feels bad now :(.

I feel sorry for you guys who still OTP him. Nocturne being 48%wr given what his ult does and him being an easy champ to pilot is criminal.

Where riot fucked up with jungle

I just had a realisation why jungle can feel awful sometimes.

Compare it to the support role - you will always have your support item, you will never be irrelevant when fall behind, and you’re meant to support your laners.

I believe originally jungle was supposed to be a supportive role before riot transformed it into a carry role.

But you still support your laners via ganks and objectives, and whats more your economy depends on the success of these ganks.

This seasons quest made it even more confusing - they want you to be a supportive role according to this quest! Your gold and xp had been nerfed compared to laners, so technically you should let them carry.

And yet when you’re behind you’re a total dog, unlike an actual support. The only saving grace is catchup xp.

So its a limbo between Carry vs supportive role and that’s why its weird.

You can definitely carry sometimes, you can also be a supportive jungler, but its like riot never decided which its going to be, so we got shitty jungle pet, worthless quest, and unclear instruction whether to farm or gank your losing lanes.

Riot itself is in my opinion clearly indecisive on what they want jungle to be, and here we are.

This isn’t a post about why ‘jungle is weak’ or whatever, its more pointing out that its badly designed.

Just picked up this champ, hows the scaling?

Omg this champ is awesome loolay.

I come from OTPying Yi/nocturne but I got so extremely bored of those champs.

Just picked up Elise - this champ is fkin fun, finally proper ganker, and I feel like I scale well too, I mean my damage with some items is insane.

My question is how is the scaling? So far ive been far ahead of the enemy jungler every game so not sure how it would do if I was even.

I do the Kirei invade lvl 1 every game, so far 3/3 complete domination, is elise just OP? I mean on a "mains sub" peopel dont usually like saying champ is op as they understand the downsides all too well.

But man I love elise, she so fun to play, has a great kit

Is duoQ with Yuumi cheating?

So Ive been duoing with this Yuumi OTP.

So far 3 games when I could pick Yi, 3 wins.

first two I compeltely ran over the entire game once I get 2 items, and yuumi gets ardent and knights vow. I feel unstoppable, and games that are plat/eme elo feel like im smurfing in silver.

3rd game was the worst teammates imaginable, might as well been bots at this point, they didnt communicate, did nothing, just came to lane to die.

I won that game too, it was a little more scary but the scenario was the same, I ran over the entire team completely without nearly any input from my teammates.

Any other time this game wouldve been unwinnable auto-loss, but with Yuumi they all got fked (they also had a really bad draft into Yi so thank god - Ty Baus for popularising Jhingle).

Ive never felt such a 1v9 ability at any other point in League in the past 2 seasons.

What am I seeing here? This is completely broken? At least at this elo still?

Kraken slayer components buying order - Rectrix

I've seen several higher elo Yi mains go for Rectrix when buying kraken components as opposed to double longsword when spending their 800ish gold.

In my mind - more ad, better clear, more damage, must be better.

In their mind - MS > 5AD?

When making this post I made the calculation and that 4% rectrix can actually increase MS by as much as a little over half-boots of speed, so it's certainly not insignificant.

Is that rly that good?

DuoQ can save you from some EOMM hell-holes

So Ive tested this on 2 accounts now.

I was trying to push an alt account to plat from gold, but every time id Que up id get the most insane teammates that had absolutely no life in them, did 5k damage per game ane called it a day patting themselves on the back how well theyre playing.

I have typically shied away from duoQ because it skews the mmr against you, and enemy team will be slightly higher mmr than yours to copmensate. But if youre already getting ccompletely unwinnable games, then really what do you have to lose...

So I tried duoQ with a random person, and suddenly all my games became winnable again. I completely 1v9d every game, dropped 20 kills, and plat was achieved in half a day.

Mind you my duo was average - underpeforming. Nothing special, he was a fairly stable player (whcih is great), but he wasn't 1v9ning.

I tried on another account - when I soloQ rn, games are completely unwinnable, even if I have insane peformance, dropping quadra kills, my team is so incapable of taking advanage of the leads and opportunities I create, taht it is beyond my ability to carry.

But when i duo - suddenly teammates are much more coordinated (not just my duo partner, trust me he fks up sometimes too).

Two important things Ive observed.

  1. Not every duoQ partner works. Sometimes you will get unwinnable lobbies even in duo.
  2. If you start getting unwinnable doomed-feeling games, find another duoQ partner / different duoQ account, and see if it works.

Only do this if your games feel already doomed and unwinnable in at least 2/3 cases.

Ive seen other people use this to climb on this very sub, thats where I got the idea.

Low honor = better teamates

A user dontbanmymain1 did an experiment regarding honor levels, being toxic and clmbing - https://www.reddit.com/r/LeagueUnfiltered/comments/1v6uim6/being_toxic_in_league_makes_it_easier_to_climb/

I just tested it and oh my god I feel vindicated.

For weeks now I've been dealing with incredibly terrible quality games on all of my accounts.

I did all the stuff people tend to recommend regarding matchmaking - end on a loss, take breaks, make sure you perform as much as you can.

I tested it. I artifically tanked my honor by spaming bad words in chat. Ironically one thing all my accs had in common was honor 5.

I have no words. The relief that I felt. Suddenly, the majority of my teammates were playing to win. They were communicating, engaging, following up on pings - this has been such a huge change for me, as opposed to the toxicity that was happening before!

Games become fun again!

Important to note: Sometimes they're still bad and still get gapped af, but because they're not 'tilters', almost every game is salvagable even from a losing position, if you lock in in these types of games and just tryhard, you can carry the vast majority of them. These teammates were not uncarriable, if anythign they were carries just like you.

You might run into one tilter here and there, but most of your team will likely play to win.

Before I did this I was wondering why TF are these teammates I have in the same elo as me. Not because I am this good, but because they were this... I don't even wanna say bad, they were just not playing the game. It's not even about skill, it's about awareness, responding to plays pings etc. Now I feel like the people around me are the same / better skill level which is a wonderful feeling - thats how it should be in a fair matchmaking.

Now ehm... there was a slight problem :D

I went overboard trying to tank my honor by spaming in chat and got a 3d ban - great, I could use a break. But I played 5 games in a row with wonderful, non-toxic teammates who were actually tryharding - imma be honest I stopped believing that this exists. I haven't seen anything like that for a good month now! League started being fun! I literally felt like I am playng a different game.

Naysayers: Test it out, or don't bother trying to argue. I wouldn't have believed it had I not experienced it myself.

DO NOT take my word for it. This is extremely easy to test, just don't go overboard like me. Make sure you spam chat in one game and then stop. I spammd in multiple games and I think that's what got me banned. I even made my teammates aware of what im doing so I don't unnecessarily offend ppl.

Try it.

GL GL. Flame on! Bring out your worst, just for a bit, and see what fkin happens.

PS: If you're wondering why this happens: It seems that riot puts together low honor players with high honor players to literally bring up the team mental so the low honor players don't quit the game.

Literally enslaving players into unpaid emotional labor so they can profit.

PS: If someone has an idea of how to best maintain low honor level without getting a ban, pls lmk, I'm interested in hearing all about it.

edit: So seems like if u spam 'r word' you may get banned, so maybe find a creative way to tank the honor idk. Or endure 3 day ban and see what happens.

What do you buy after full build ?

I usually go umbral profane ldr eon voltaic/ ie/ antishield

But then I still have more gold so I usually sell profane for ravenous, phantom dancer instead of boots, ie instead of glaive, and last game I even swapped antishield into essence raver just to get 100% crit, I felt like it was better at killing tankier targets.

Is that the best path forward ? When should I not swap late game lethality for crit ?

Ty

Side question: do you guys buy blue trinket once you get glaive ? I find red much less necessary at that point

I am so tired of being the carry

I cant do this anymore. Its not worth it.

I am trying my very best in a game, droppign 35 kills on rengar saving the game from the jaws of defeat 10x over, just so I could spend 50 minutes in a game with a Varus (in gold ELO btw), who is trying to solo baron.

This was only the cherry on top, he also walked into lane only to die on spawn etc.

We won... but at what cost.

I am tired boss.

Im out

Im going on another alt account and becoming an enchanter OTP.

I dont want to carry anymore.

I also believe RIOT may put your behavioral tendencies into consideration in EOMM so if youre carry, you may be paired with underpeformers.

Its so exhausting. No thank you.

Pathing top feels weird

So I like to usually path bot unless it’s super boring matchup and I have something more volatile toplane. Doesnt mean I never path top but I prefer going bot because theres 4 players instead of 2.

But I also like to play support from time to time, and ngl I get triggered by my junglers.

This is only platinum and I am platinum right now even though I haven’t played that many games this season so idk, but it’s like no jgl has a plan at all.

They don’t take the matchup into consideration at all. Like were Leona Draven bot - and rengar of all champs - decides to path away from us ?

What the fuck. At what elo do junglers actually start thinking about this, this is so insane to me.

There’s certainly value in pathing top - like irelia v Yasuo, for sure. But if you have draven leona bot, I want my jungle botside all the time.

Am I crazy ?!

I believe agurin has confused lower elo players

I’ve seen so many low elo jarvans farm on this champ so much but never translate this gold into anything tangible.

Ofc agurin is the ‘clear you camps’ og streamer and he’s a jarvan player.

His playstyle isn’t wrong ofc but I think its misunderstood by low elo players.

There are so many opportunities to punish enemy laners but these silver and gold jarvan mains would rather do camps and scuttle than doublekí´ botlane.

I’ve recently played on my alt acc on rengar against a jarvan.

He cleared his jungle well, heck he even took a bunch of my camps - meanwhile I killed the entire map.

He never matched me countered etc

Game was unplayable for him inspite of being even in gold and even ahead in exp at some point. This advantage never translated into anything.

I checked his match history - he also plays Vieggo - and on this champ he popps off, because his farm actually translates to won tfs.

How to fix LP gains

On 2 of my accs towards the end of the split I duoQd with someone who had higher MMR than me.

As a result I went from +26/27 to +19/20 and it stayed after I went solo.

How do I fkin fix this, this is an unreal drop.

Rengars gameplay feels so different from other junglers

After a long time of not being able to make rengar work with positive winrate, and finally getting to a point where I can pull him off consistently, I gotta say rengars feel is so much different than any other chapmion I have ever jungled with.

Its almost like theres very little room for thinking, it all just gotta feel instinctive and intuitive. If I gotta think about it, I will be too slow, and make mistakes.

But a good rengar game is a wonderful flow of tempo and snowball, its unlike any other jungler.

Hes also the only champ I dont get bored of. I get tired because I think it requires quite a bit of mental energy so if I play him 6 games in a row, by the 6th game im hella underperforming.

Rengar is art.

I feel like I have no counteraply facing hecarim in jgl?

I just played against some smurfing hecarim who just invaded my botside lvl 1 as I started top, I was aware so I took his top, was able to get 2 camps and crab, so at first no big deal.

But he then proceeded to completely outtempo me and just consistently clear one segment of my jungle, while clearing also the one I could potentially trade and invade.

The entire game I felt like I had absolutely no counterplay, he just gapped me completely.

What the fuck do you even do, I feel so helpless like what? I was on rengar.

For illusrtation, he had 10k gold lead on me at 24 minutes.

I understand hes a smurf and is just gonna run over anyone, but I still dont know how to play into this playstyle, like at all.

End of season game quality

What the fuck is this.

Ive never seen worse players in my games no matter what elo I play at (Silver-plat)

New players
Smurfs
ARAMERS
Normal players

Worst part is - noone is even trying to win, everyone is jsut running around pressing buttons.

I recently came back to League only to realize its the end of season and I wanna start cutting myself seeing this.

"Jungle is OP" - but only if your laners are aware

A lot of players have historically complained about how OP jungle is, and truth is bad jungler can completely destroy a very winnable game. A good jungler can make it unplayable for enemies.

However laners need to enable the jungler.

Its not about winning/losing lane, its about having the awareness that certain mistakes that you make as a laner will make the game unplayable for the jungler, and for the rest of the team. There are mistakes that lose you lane. Then there are mistakes that lose you lane, jungle and game all at the same time.

  1. Dying for no reason right before jungle is able to gank you - youre wasting so mmuch of their time and tempo.
  2. Not engaging before a gank is meant to happen, or on the flipside suiciding just becaues youre jungle pingd "OMW". - If youre unable to fight and feel like gank wouldnt work, Ping the jungler off immediately.
  3. Not losing lane gracefully - Instead of being 0/2 in lane and some cs down, you go 0-15 making it impossible for your jungler to kill your oponent.
  4. Not rotating to invades/objectives - this is by far the one that can be fixed in the easiest ways. If your jungler is getting invaded, for fucks sake go there if you can, drop those 3 fkin minions, dont be an AFK NPC and move your ass. You need to play with your jungler, youre not the main character of the game - the Nexus is.

If your jungler gets chain-invaded and you dont help, you are the sole reason the game was lost.

There is a nuance to this - sometimes moving will be bad, if youre not able to - Ping this. Communicate it. Dont ignore their play and say nothing - ping back, danger, say you need to b or something.

If your jungler is invading - Move if you can, the teams that move with jungle are always the ones more likely to win.

Why do you think smurfs on jungle role abuse invading 24/7. Because it works in low elo. Because laners dont move and play incorrectly.

Looking for a vod review from someone diamond+

Hello, I am looking for someone who would vod review one of my games. It was promo to platinum.

I had complete piggies for teammates, at the same time I dropped 29 kills on lethality nocturne.

I am wondering whether I shouldve been able to 1v9 this, or how to actually translate when im Giga fed on nocturne but team just solo loses to their midlaner.

I am sure I made a gazilion mistakes in the game, at a certain point I got super tilted and just gave up a bit and gave soul and what not, but at that point I didnt feel like the game was winnable anymore.

I think if I am this turbo fed, there should be some strategy that would lead me to victory - basically I need to know waht to prioritise in order to 1v9 this.

Thank you so much <3

Cheat day ruins my bloodsugar

So I find that at least 2 days after cheat day my bloodsugar goes crazy, I feel hypoglycaemic, huge carb cravings, either fatigue or hunger with no apparent reason and much harder to reach satiety.

I’ve gone ham on my last cheat day got probably around 3k calories at least (normally I’m at around 1800).

My conclusion is that I need to dial it down - still have cheat day but have a more reasonable one, slowcarb dinner, and maybe some fruits and deserts and that’s it, nothing crazy (bye bye nachos).

Does anyone else have a similar experience ? Has the bloodsugar improved once you started doing your cheat day more reasonably?
