I am new in mumbai and i have taken a flat on rent with 37000 per month rent and 1 lac deposit. Owner lives in Dubai and made another local person power of attorney. The broker asked me to pay 43000 annual maintenance charge to society and mentioned it will be adjusted in my deposit. So, I paid to society trusting him. Now he also did some repair work in the flat and asked me to pay him 8000 and the same would be adjusted in first month rent as owner is out of india so it is more convenient. I paid 8000 as well. Do you think this is okay? I am worried if I dont get scammed

4 Wheeler parking is outside - is it safe?

[OC] I have been driving Skoda Kushaq 1.5 TSI MT for more than two and half years. It used to give me mileage of around 14 kmpl until last month when I used to go with my family of 5 on road trip with 60% highway, 10% City & 20% Hills. Now under same conditions, mileage has dropped to 11 kmpl. Personally I am feeling we are no longer filling E20 - it could be E25 or E30 who knows? Or may be some other issue. Look forward to your experience and views

I got a new job in Hiranandani Gardens. I am planning to stay in Hiranandani Estate. Tell me commute time by car if I leave in morning from Estate at 7:30am and leave from Garden at 4pm. Tell me commute time during non rainy and rainy days?

My budget for 1BHK (family accommodation) is around 35K. Suggest me a good society with clean flats (no leakage, 24x7 water & electricity supply). I would be driving to Hiranandani Powai 4 Days a week. Let me know options I should look at. Appreciate your valuable comments

First Option: Should I take a 1BHK furnished flat in Hiranandani Estate (Thane) for 34K and spend 10K on commute? I would have to work 4 days from office. How much time would it take me to travel by car during monsoon and non monsoon season. What is trick to save on commute time?

Are these any other good societies in thane (closer to Mulund) with nice construction and in similar budget?
Second option: I am okay to pay 40-45K furnished 1BHK for a flat closer to Powai Hiranandani. However, construction should be good and interior of the flat should be nice. Please suggest.
