I would like samples to keep playing, but muted, until hit. The reason is, i want to resample a loop with different resonator pitches, then play it as a keyboard, but do not want the sample to begin at the start when each pad is pressed, but continue from where the last pad stopped

So imagine all the pads, once played, run through the samples, you could watch the line loop in chop, but no sound, until you hit the pad. This would mean all sorts. Another use is for drum loops. You can have multiple long, changing loops on each pad, and spontaneously change between pads, getting unexpected combos.

I have done that last thing on Koala, pressing play and then clicking around on all the patterns, and getting wild combos, as they at least stop where you stopped, if not always playing.

That would be a way to do it as well, have them stop where i remove my finger from a gated pad, rather than being ready to play from the start again next time.

does anyone here make or have examples of people making non-techno electronica with Elektron boxes?

I am referring to sounds like those of Spacemen 3, Sonic Boom and Spectrum, Joe Meek, the more experimental of dub reggae, Animal Collective, Panda Bear, post-debut MGMT, Kraftwerk and electronic kraut rock in general etc etc

Keen on hearing the Syntakt most but keen to hear any of them

When using the SP as part of my electronic setup while jamming with a band, how do i listen to a pad through headphones in order to get effects and pitch correct before playing through speakers?

What are some interesting and useful ways that the SP can be paired with other equipment?

Eg drum machines and synths. Can the SP trigger a drum machine and vice versa?

What are some unique ways you use yours with other gear (or in general, very keen for inspo)

Only 2 weeks in and I bloody love this thing. Was inspired to pick on up by Pete Kember aka Sonic Boom (Spacemen 3, Spectrum), Panda Bear (and his Reset collab with Kember, all done on SP, and a lot of his solo work done on 303) and the other lads from AC. Any other SP users that fit in with these blokes?

On yas all! This sub has been amazing in my learning of this beaut.

Very new to this, and I am going well learning using tutorials, but cannot figure out how to turn off the stereo ping pong effect of the tape echo. Please tell me it can be done

Attached are some examples of VDMX circular feedback (taken from my insta highlights hence the music and the quick skips passed unrelated). What physical equipment has this feature or another way to achieve the effect ? Could any of the mixers do it? Or would it have to be a synth consol/module .

Vintage black and white Magazines or books with heaps of pictures for photo montage

I make montage/collage (think Heartfield, El Lissitsky Klutsis, Rodchenko etc) and use physical media. Part of my style is aged black and white magazine photos.

If anyone has anything they’d part with, let me know. But also after being pointed towards cheap mags online

Anyone got some recs for slow, druggy-yet-sentimental Velvet Underground inspired post-punk songs?

tom, symbols and bass driving the rhythm, with a slightly out of tune hollow body electric guitar and Vox organ handling the chords (this is obviously not a strict requirement). It’s one of my favourite type of songs. Someone to Share my Life With and Stop and Smell the Roses by Television Personalities are great examples.

Spacemen 3 (and spiritualised and sonic boom/spectrum) Jesus and Mary Chain, some Primal Scream do it very well too.
