we’re stuck in late-stage capitalism hell where all companies care about is consistent profit growth. they’re so afraid of making cars that don’t sell, and as a result they make these soulless grayscale blobs.

even the cars marketed for enthusiasts are bland. they serve the people who see cars as nothing more than a method to get from point a to point b, and the people who see their cars as something more are screwed.

i wish there was just a brand that tried to make cars with soul. even volvo has started producing bland crossovers. a car with soul means potential for loss, but if you don‘t take risks, you never have a smash hit. companies don’t want to put themselves out there because they don’t want to make a aztek or a multipla, so they never make a miata or a twingo.

anyway, sorry for ranting, just pissed at the current state of cars.
