Is there a character that you genuinely believe doesn't (or didn't) deserve to appear on the show?

There has been a lot of discussion about what character deserves to appear or characters that deserve to come back. But I've been wondering about characters that didn't deserve to appear at all.

Now, that's something extremely subjective, but for me it all depends of 2 different factors:

Uniqueness, what the character brings to the table in and out of their own series, wheter be in story, powerset or personality. This can also apply to characters that might feel a bit more out there like Smokey the Bear or The Impostor, since there's a little "Huh?" factor to them.

Relevancy, this one is a bit more tricky, since for example, someone that isn't into JJK might see any character outside of Gojo, Yuji and Sukuna as unnecessary, while some JJK fans won't rest until Panda has gotten atleast 3 episodes.

I don't really have a character I think didn't deserve to appear on the show, so I'm curious to hear your opinions.

[OC] What do you guys think of my two OCs? Could they be considered RR?

These are some OCs I've been working on for a while.

The first one is Kyle AKA Blue Star, he has the power to create hard-light constructs that come out of any part of his body, any part. He can change between his normal-looking form and his hero form, something akin to Danny Phantom. When he is in his normal form he is rather anxious and shy, while in his hero form he is more confident, snarky and even a little flirty. He is 5'2ft tall with shoes and refuses to give away his true height.

The second one Dian'ond AKA Exiled, was the princess of a planet that was constantly in war, she is meant to be the closest analogue to Superman in universe. She was exiled by her father after she refused to kill an enemy that was begging for his life, she was sentenced to float in space without direction, only being able to feed herself on what little sunlight got through her window. It wasn't until she came close to Earth that she was free, discovering that the planet's sun made her stronger, she became a hero and was given a human identity to blend in. She is someone surprisingly shy and nerdy despite what her past might tell about her, being obssesed with superheroes like Superman and basing her identity on them. She is 6'2ft tall and tries to wear clothes that hide her body when in her civilian form to avoid standing out, to no avail.

So... yeah I love the Huge nerdy and shy chick x Small and flirty guy dynamic. Feel free to ask any more questions about them.

The Blue Star AKA Kyle Kane - The first hero in my universe

Hero Identity: Blue Star.

Civilian Identity: Kyle Kane

Age: 18 years old (3 years since he became the Blue Star).

Height: 5'2ft tall.

Bio: Born in the small town of Sundown, USA. Living with his father, he lost his mother very early on in his life turning him into a nerveous wreck. One day, he found a small device while exploring the lake in the outskirts of his town, he dubbed it as the Micro-Nova, it allowed him to transform into the superhero, The Blue Star. He was the first documented superhuman.

Powers:

  • "Shapeshifting": He is capable of shifting between two different appearences, his human appearence and the one he uses as his hero identity.
  • Construct creation: He can create hard-light energy constructs. They are capable of coming out of any part of his body. The more focused he is in a construct the more resistant and stable it is.
  • Flight: Pretty self-explanatory.

Weaknesses:

  • Focusing: Due to his constructs' strength depending on his focus he can struggle with those that are meant to be more complex, especialy since he can be someone very easy to distract.
  • Noise: It can break his focus, making his constructs be more erratic.
  • Electricity: Breaks the link his brain has with the "Micro-Nova". His constructs are non-conductive.
  • Quantity: The more constructs he has around, the harder it is for him to keep up with them.

Feel free to ask any questions about this character please.

(r/AO3) What is the weirdest superhero fanfic you have read? (Tagged NSFW just in case)

I am someone that reads superhero fanfics as a little of a guilty pleasure for the last few years. As such I've seen my fair share of "weird" stories. However, this one has to be the weirdest one I've ever read.

The story is a Spider-Man x Fem!Reader angst fic were Spider-Man mourns the reader's death. Pretty normal right? The thing is that the way the reader died in this story is... unique to say the least. The reason for the reader's death is that she got cancer from Spider-Man's radioactive fluids.

The worst part is that the One-Shot isn't necessarily bad just extremely edgy and angsty, but that plot point just makes the story impossible to take seriously, at least for me. Its one of those stories that makes me understand why some people are against superhero fanfics.

(By the way, the image attached is an admittedly great piece of art the author made for the story.)

If Izuku had a nickel for every time he thought his dreams as a hero were over, he would have 3 nickels.

Which isn’t a lot, but it happening more than once has to be some sort of cosmic joke.

He had woken up a few days ago from a 2-month long coma, it happened after a rather intense fight against an up-and-coming villain that ended with an entire warehouse blowing up. Fortunately no one got seriously hurt besides himself, but his suit suffered a lot of damage during the fight. According to Mei and Melissa, the reparations would take a few weeks at the very least. Now he was simply drinking his sorrows away in one of the most luxurious hero bars in the country,

“Rough night?” He heard a voice talking behind him, he turned around to see his girlfriend, Uraraka.

“I guess you could say tha-” He was suddenly shut up by a hug from the brunette, she shook slightly.

“You really scared me…” She scolded him with a voice full of worry, making Deku to tighten the embrace she had him in.

“It’s alright…” Izuku said, trying to comfort her. “I am here.”

A now calmed down Uraraka sat next to him at the bar, ordering herself a few drinks to accompany him in his sadness. Right now he was talking about how the class he was teaching already graduated.

“At least I was able to be there…” He said more to himself than to her before taking another sip of his drink, he was a bit tipsy but still coherent. “But since the school year ended I guess I now have a lot of free time.”

“So what? Are you gonna spend it binging that old All Might show again?” Ochako teased.
“Hey! It gets better after the 5th watch” He responded defensively while laughing, knowing she was at least a little right.

Suddenly, Uraraka’s hand landed on his shoulder. “Well… I have a little job I’m sure could keep you busy.” She said, sounding a bit more flirty than she probably was trying to.

“What do you have in mind?...” He questioned, feeling both aroused and nervous for whatever she would suggest.

“Well… I’ve been working to start a little project for the past few months…” Izuku was a little disappointed but still perked up. “It’s meant to rehabilitate minor villains by making them do hero work, we already have a small team, we just need someone to dispatch them.”

Izuku’s interest peaked. “So you want me to be their dispatcher?” He asked.

“Not just that Deku, I want you to teach them.” She said, sounding a little more serious. “This project is their only chance to prove they can be better not just to the world but to themselves, if it fails, I don’t know where they will end up.”

“I see…” Izuku could feel her hand slowly crawling towards his, he simply flashed her a smile before responding. “When do I begin?”

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Tldr; It's basically Dispatch but in the MHA universe, It wouldn't be the exact same plot but it would definetly follow the same premise, just with an adult Deku replacing the main character.

I don't know what is it about these characters' designs, but there's something about them I really dislike

Honestly, hate is a very strong word, I don't hate any of these characters, hell, I don't know anything about two of them. However there's a very weird... "feeling" of annoyance I have whenever I see them just exist.

I haven't read any of these characters stories, so my grievances are not with how they are written. But it just confuses me why would I feel so annoyed by only their designs.
