Before watching Angel Beats, I knew Kanade was the most famous due to her old Japanese memes and Myanimelist favorite count so I watched Angel Beats mainly for her and while I liked her and the plot twist was good but Yurippe unironically won me over.

At first I was annoyed by Yurippe because I wanted to see more of Kanade (and Otonashi) because I had a bias for her. But then the more I saw of Yurippe, the more I got curious and wow her resolution episode with her siblings made me cry so much. Her character development was insane for me. And then in the last episode when she left, I felt so empty.

Don't get me wrong, I also liked other characters and their backstories but like for me, Yurippe resonated so much within me that she is my top 5 anime character of all time and I have watched like 250+ anime. I heard Yurippe isn't that popular in Japan (or in general) compared to Kanade. Usually I do like romance but it is rare for me to like a girl who wasn't even the main heroine for the MC. Yurippe just blew away all my expectations. Anyone else who felt the same?

But I think maybe just maybe the "rewards" she gave to Ray wasn't just because he was her "spy" since likely not many kids were standing up against her before Emma.

I don't know if you read the recent news where OpenAI claimed to have solved several mathematical problems (including Navier Stokes which is a million dollar question) using their GPT Astra new model. But many mathematicians who worked for decades in this problem are concerned that because they used codex, OpenAI models trained on their ideas. Maybe this is also the reason why OpenAI gave free subscriptions to scientists, reputable programmers and engineers.

So if this is how it is and corporate AI companies will steal your work, then forget about banning frontier local LLM models when in fact they are needed now more than ever. But the ironic part is AI companies want to ban local frontier models because then they can't steal your work. We need better GPUs and laws to protect local models.

Everytime I pass or do good in technical interviews, I fail the HR round and they cite the reasons like not good enough Japanese speaking ability or age (I am late 20s). I am still improving my Japanese but its a pattern that I always fail at HR rounds. Anyone else had that experience? I even had been praised for my technical ability when they give feedback after rejection.

I have gotten two interviews via linkedin and direct apply (company website).

But when I use Xing and indeed to search for werkstudent or internship, I have never gotten even a single interview. Do these sites even work? Or should I just stick to linkedin? I mean I just get ghosted when I use Xing or indeed.

I got JLPT N3, planning to take N2 this December. My experience is on FPGA/ASIC design. Anyone knows how the field there is? Personally I see more jobs there for CAD designers or automation engineers (electrical) or PCB designers.

And when you get one, usually your fellow new joiners will be how old? Particularly in the field of ASIC design for companies like Renesas, Sony semiconductor, etc. I mean I am not sure but I think at least people in ASIC design would have Masters even for 新卒？
