Wanna chat? I’m here

I know some of us aren’t used to being alone, some of us are pros. Either way I’m looking to chat with yall and make some internet friends.

Diore The Hellion

We just moved recently to where we’re on our own for the first time. She’s torn through the trash, broke her potty training every now and then, spills her food all over the floor every other day, disobeys me during walks most times, and all around hell raiser.

Wouldn’t want anything else. Glad I saved her. I know she’ll adjust, same as me.

V8 CJ5 81

Hey yall jeep people. I grew up with a father who had a CJ5 V8. 1981. Now I no longer talk to this man for a variety of reasons. Terrible man who shouldn’t have had kids (abusive as fuck).

My purpose of this post is to ask yall how rare was his jeep?
It has the 304 V8. The sticker above the radiator to the right of the latch gives info about the 304 V8.

His story is he bought it from a used dealership. The dealership told him the previous owner had put the V8 in it. What doesn’t make sense to me is if the previous owner put the 304 in it, why on earth would the used dealership put the correct sticker on the vehicle?

Front and rear axles were Dana 20? Idk something my father always bitched about. Something that spun out (meaning driver side bit of the rear axle would completely separate from diff and walk way out.)

Idk where the vin is at and I probably can’t read from the pictures I’ve taken. Only reason I’m making this post is I watched the John Wolfe & Collins vid where Dennis mentioned the V8 was a carryover.

Sorry for bothering yall. Just thought I’d ask.

Edit: I am NOT looking to make money, nor am I looking to reconnect with this person. I am NOT trying to get anything from this person. I am just curious. I am just wondering how rare of vehicle I learned to drive in.

Living Alone First Time. Tips? 34M

I am going to be living alone for the first time. I’m not unfamiliar with being alone or having to spend time with myself though. I overthinking it quite a bit and worrying about things so just trying to keep focused on the task at hand. I’m naturally a loner so I’m not worried about what I can do to entertain myself. I have games on my Xbox and Mac Mini. I have movies and shows I can watch.

Things I’m not certain on is what I should focus of first. I know basic necessities (shower curtain and the like) are going to be writhing the first days. I’m not certain on what I should next. I’m thinking of focusing on getting the kitchen all bought first. Microwave, Tupperware, Utensils, Crock Pot, Pans and stuff. I’m not opposed to living on pizza and stuff I can cook in an air fryer but it gets old after awhile.

Next I honestly don’t know. Bedroom? Living room? I don’t really know if I’ll be having a lot of people coming to see me so I’m thinking bedroom? I’m not sure guys.

Another thing I’m not sure about is the silence, actually being alone. Stuff like that so any tips on that or how you came to enjoy the experience is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

2015 Ford Focus SE 2.0.

Fan isn’t turning on at all. Turning on A/C doesn’t kick it on either.
I don’t drive it far enough or long enough most days for it to get to op temp. When I do it obviously overheats, which I just turn on the heat and the temp drops back down. From what I read, it’s most likely electrical.

Things I’ve tried:

  1. I have tried replacing the relay with the working rear defroster relay and fan still does not kick on. I’m am getting power to the relay in accessory mode.

  2. Fan Control Module is receiving power in accessory mode, no power after.

  3. I don’t know how to test the coolant temperature sensor.

  4. I haven’t pulled the thermostat to see if it’s working.

  5. I’m about to start looking around the house for electrical wire to test if power from the battery or before the control module will kick the fan on.

Am I missing anything?

15’ Focus SE. 2.0.

Fan not turning on. When it starts to overheat, I blow off the extra heat through the heater. I don’t drive it long enough daily for it to reach operating temperature anyways. Turning on the A/C does not kick on the fan. So I’ve read it could be electrical.

So far I know it can either be:

  1. Fan itself : Haven’t tested.
  2. Relay (Under hood fuse box): Have tried using the rear defroster relay (same amperage & part number) fan still not kicking on.
  3. Temp sensor : Haven’t Tested
  4. Thermostat(?): Haven’t tested, and what I’ve read says it would be electrical not mechanical.

5: Control Module is getting 3.14 or so dcv to it in acc mode. After I’m getting nothing.

Am I missing anything to change or test? I’m going to go out there right now and find a way to test the fan by running power to the fan directly. Or see if any of the wiring is damaged.

Edit: with the car on in acc I have 3.14 DCV going to control module, 0 after. Is the control module dead? Or is the fan control module not passing the power because it’s not being told to?

SOLVED. FCM seems to have been the issue. Went to a Pick-N-Pull nearest to me. Nabbed one for $50 bucks, and changed it out there at the junkyard. Drove some 50 miles back home with the A/C on blast, making sure to take some extra miles to get there. Not once did it over heat or go past operating temp.
