Would be the perfect song in this heat
Rode is saying I need to update firmware to access my recordings. Then it says the update may delete my recordings, so I should have them backed up. Huh? How do I fix this Catch-22?
Are shorts views down across the board or is it just me?
We post comedy shorts once a week and generally do pretty good. Our worst stuff gets around 20k views and our best gets into the hundreds of thousands, with a couple getting into the millions.
But recently, even if the metrics are strong, we're maxing out around 20k with a bunch not even hitting 10k. A lot of our friends/fans will say "This is the best thing you've made" and our likes/watch percentage will be strong, yet they go nowhere.
Is this a consistent thing happening to everyone, or are we dealing with something weird?

youtube.comIf Oasis approached you and asked if they should release an EP or LP...
Opportunity of a lifetime- Noel Gallagher approaches you and gives you an LP and an EP, both with new Oasis material, and asks which to release.
The album is as good as all their post-2000 stuff- some really strong songs and some major clunkers.
Legacy is at stake here, so Noel is wondering if they should just release 4-5 songs, or a proper LP as they usually do with what can generously be called "filler".
For example, if it were Dig Out Your Soul, the EP tracklist would be-
Bag It Up
The Turning
The Shock of the Lightning
I'm Outta Time
Falling Down
Would you tell him "just release that and hit 2-3 of them on the next tour" or say "nah do a full album"?
Something I have realized when I open up my eyes is

How Much Would You Pay For A Live Album That's All Rat In Bin?
100 versions of Rat In Bin, all performed live.
$100? $150? TWO HUNDRED dollars?

reddit.comWhen you're losing subscribers on days you don't post, is that more accounts getting deleted or people actively unsubscribing?
I know it varies, but which way does it lean? I post one short per week and subscribers shoot up on posting day + the next few days, but then I'll lose a handful of followers in the following days. Are those bots getting deleted? People deleting their accounts? People deciding to unsubscribe?
Again, I know it's "a mix of all of those" but which one is it mostly? Impossible to know?
How do you think Oasis would have fared if this was LP3 instead of Be Here Now?

What he did was really wrong
Last night I hopped in a taxi from JFK- it was midnight so figured it’d be an easy cruise home to Clinton Hill.
We could take the highways or Atlantic, either way was predicting about 35 minutes. But my cab driver kept seemingly changing his mind about which way he was going to go, weaving back and forth between routes before finally settling on back roads. But he literally was weaving back and forth instead of going to the destination. I’m not exaggerating- instead of going West on Atlantic or Myrtle he kept driving north several blocks, taking a left, then driving south several blocks, then taking a right.
At one point, I’m not exaggerating, he got on a parkway going the opposite direction.
I kept correcting his route only for him to veer off again. The only way I got home was calling out the directions at every intersection.
I don’t think he was malicious (maybe he was though) - he just seemed confused and lost. He had the route in an app (didn’t look at which one) that was pulling him in random directions. He also spoke zero English so wasn’t able to confer with him.
If you looked at a path of the way we drove back (like if the history were in uber/lyft) it was a total snake job. Ended up taking 73 minutes to get home and $75 when google maps had predicted 35-40 minutes.
I told him several times on the ride that he’s going the wrong way and that I can’t pay extra for that (he had turned his meter away from me so I had to stretch to see it). At the end of the ride I asked him how we can subtract from all the misdirection and he had no idea what I was saying. I told him I was going to have to report him to get a refund, which sucks but again I don’t think he knew what I was saying.
Anyway, does anyone have any experience getting a refund on a yellow cab? I took some photos last night, including “trip from JFK” on the screen and that it took 73 minutes. Whether or not it was malicious, it fucked up my night and my bank account and I shouldn’t have to pay for it.
