got it with 40mi on it. its fun! Puig light smoke screen, tail tidy and blade mirrors. not sure if im gonna tune it or do anything else 🤷🏻♂️ but its very enjoyable! brakes are great, motor sounds like VTEC kicking in 😂. everyone knows its a Kawi!
Still love it. 3380mi on it since march. rear was shot, went to road 6's. scrubbing em in.
i daily a 2025 Ninja 650 and im tellin ya, this thing has a lotta personality and i simply love throwing it around!
Got the MT in march, have 2800mi on it now. its hilarious. Quick shifter, Akra slip on, VANS grips, ASV levers, kitted it all out. its only real.downside is passing power and wind above like 50 for long times....but thats known as a small naked.
I started looking for a 2nd bike 2 weeks ago (im over 40 and single, let me live 😆 ) and wanted a cruiser with fairings and upright seating position. NO clip on crap. I found this one, $6750 smokin deal, leftover 2025 and discounted to move. I had no choice, I grabbed it, and I put almost 400 mi on it since Sat 😂. riding position is almost identical to the MT. just a bit tighter front bar to crotch area, bars are just a tat up higher on the MT. the Ninja revs low and its a TQ monster. the MT goes weeeeee up top and is so easy in town.
now, why im posting here:
I took the MT out last nite for the first time since i got the ninja..... and it was a bit different but still really fun. 12k rpm is always a hoot. i adjusted back to it in 2 miles flat and proceeded to throw it around even easier! the bigger 650 is smooth and tq'y and faster, but the MT is nimble and i noticed that right away. i did 22mi on it, went and took pics, and still smiled a lot. I was worried the MT would feel dumb but i was WAY WRONG!!!
both of them are making me a better rider. dont worry, im keeping both! just know that a faster bike wont make your lil MT 'useless' 🙌🏻🙌🏻
'25 leftover, priced down another 500 since thursday. 6750 base price + the add on stuff after mil discount. I couldnt pass it up. I now have a lower power high revver (MT-03) and a medium power, higher tq, low revving highway cruiser.

love everything about it but the darn Db level!
im a machinist so i whipped up a silencer. its not ss and was my prototype and it worked well. i did the back cap first but it was still a lil much so i added the inner sleeve and that worked. i left the rim on it so i can bop it out with a dead blow hammer (i machined it for a friction fit) i still get accel/decel noise and pops when i just crack the throttle but my ears are thanking me and so are the neighbors 😂. its been in there a few hundred miles so id say shes good!
i wish silencers were required and everyone included one. would be nice.
ill eventually try to grab a slice of 304 SS and some SS DOM tubing and make a legit one.
looks like i am only able to make hits at 1000yds with the 75gr otm. seems like 55gr load is only good for 900yds.
oh well...we cant have everything!
im pretty new to bikes, the 03 is my 2nd bike. I started riding last summer. i went from a 135 to the 03 and im quite comfy with throwing around the 03 on tight twisty backroads, or doing 75 on the highway. i got the 03 to have a full size, real motorcycle, but one that was under 400lbs and nimble. the MT-07 felt heavy to me just handling it in the store. i recently felt after about 1200ish miles the "i could go bigger" feeling, but i think thats where most people go wrong. I have SO MUCH more to learn, and I want to do it on the MT03/R3 platform.
it seems most people just go bigger in a few months and complain that the 300 was too slow.....im doing 45mph cruising backroads, can easily get to 80 on longer straights, and 75-90 on the highway isnt a chore. the wind isnt that bad. im 5-9 185lbs. how fast u need to go, 100mph all over? 😂
i wonder how much enjoyment people sell off just to go bigger, just to satisfy their desires and wants and SPEEEEED. i have a car thats as fast as an R6 and has a cage in it.... i dont really need a motorcycle to do those speeds 😂
i hope to stay humble and learn a lot from this bike...its really a superb scalpel through an apex.
