Do you allow the repetitive behaviours at bed time just to stop meltdowns?

My daughter (7) non verbal has become fixated with TVs etc for a while now, we have a baby gate on her bedroom door but she’s become fixated on needing to see if my TVs off in my bedroom. Explaining or not letting her turns into hours long crying sessions at the gate but it’s now nearly 1am and she’s just barely giving in. We’re back to school on Thursday and I’m at a loss on getting her back to a good sleep routine. We get up at 8am, melatonin isn’t possible to get quickly where we live and I’ve tried every bedtime routine technique there is.

So all it comes down to is do I ignore her fixation and let her be upset or just let her get it over with so she doesn’t cry?

How long did you wait to get treatment? Uk.

I got a letter from my hepatologist back in May saying I’ll need treatment and he’s arranged for a liver biopsy. Since then he’s rescheduled my consultation with him twice and I’ve phoned up the liver team number and they have no idea where my biopsy appointment is and to just wait another month to talk to the hepatologist. My liver pain is getting worse and I’m so worried but everyone keeps saying just wait.

Balancing fatigue with a autistic child I’m so tired

I’ve been struggling with fatigue for over a year now last year my blood results were number then fast forward to March of this year I got a big tattoo and my body’s immune system went nuts with extreme muscle stiffness and pains and the fatigue got crazy bad so my doctor ordered blood results and my liver enzymes were in the 400s I got an ultrasound done it looked normal but my hepatologist sent me a letter thinking I’ve got acute autoimmune hepatitis and I need a biopsy to confirm, this was back in May and he’s rescheduled my consultation with him 3 times now and still no word of my biopsy, I’m so tired no amount of sleep helps and I can’t nap or sit with my kid constantly needing help either.

How do you get your child to take medicine?

My daughter has a uti we got prescribed amoxicillin. Have to take it 2 times a day at 10ml. Tried sneaking it into milkshake, juice, yogurt and a syringe in her mouth. She will not take it at all :(. She’s 7 non verbal and too smart for any disguising. Doctors only suggestion is try yogurt but she will not have it at all and they’re now closed for the weekend.

It’s liquid form too.

I’m so fed up I just want to know

I’ve been having issues with fatigue and other things since April, gp did blood test and my atl levels were 543 and ast 302 . Got referred to hepatology. My first letter from May stated I needed a biopsy but after calling the hospital today they still haven’t got me a biopsy appointment. Is this all normal to keep being pushed back?

Got my first rats today!

All advice welcome, 2 little girls. In the carrier on the way home they were get curious and sniffing me through the holes of it. They stayed buried under the bedding for the past hour and now they’re like frozen on the spot and have been for a little while now. Anything to get them to adjust or do I just need to give them time?

What are subtle signs of a toxic friendship starting with one?

I’ve had 3 friends and a sister diagnosed with bpd.
I have been a doormat most of my life and hate conflict but I love making people feel heard and understood as I wasn’t always made to feel like that so I’ve been a magnet for unhealthy people. I know the usual love bombing favourite person signs. But what are some subtle signs? With some friends it wasn’t immediately straight to besties status in a day. Some of it was a slow burn then one day I became the favourite person then it went to shit. Same with my sister, when she had no one I suddenly became the favourite person.

Do they all continue to punish you when you needed them?

The fall out was because I didn’t see her message in time wanting to play a video game she got into with me, she got chat banned months prior and kept accusing my friends for 4 months straight until I said we’re not getting anywhere with this. Then she blocked me for not replying to her in 10 mins.

I think what’s hurting me the most isn’t even the argument anymore, it’s the fact my sister completely ignored me when I needed her. We’ve not spoken for 5 months. I tried a couple of times in the first week then left her to it, beforehand it would take me begging and reaching out for months for us to get back into each others’ lives, I didn’t do that this time, the only thing I received was a 2 sec hang up call a month ago from her.

Then I found out I likely have autoimmune disease and needed a liver biopsy. I was terrified. I even spoke to my nephew (her son) that tells her everything, she still hasn’t bothered to reach out.
I spent months supporting her through an abusive relationship before all this. I was always there when she needed me.

I know people have mental health issues and their own struggles, but at what point does that stop being an excuse? Because I can’t imagine hearing my sister might be seriously ill and not even sending a text to ask if she’s okay.

I think the fact she acts like she never cared after the silliest of disagreements hurts the most. We were super close but she can cut off anyone so easily. I’ll never understand that.

I’m terrified not knowing

Back in March I got a big tattoo, I have lots but this was my biggest session. A week after I got a nose bleed, muscle pain on my limbs and lumps under my old tattoos. Since then I’ve had countless bloods done then an ultrasound and now I got this letter from hospital.
