Surviving a Career without an Injury

May come of as a pussy. But i start as a pre apprentice in about a month and just turned 21. All I hear is how bad this shit is on the body and how most are seriously injured. So to ask my question. Is it realistically possible to last a 40 something year career without getting fucked up somehow. Just want to know what to expect.

Never Quit Bootcamp.

Hello everyone. I've been here before. Im a despicable bootcamp quitter. Faked a suicidal ideation a year ago. Im currently working as an ironworker. Something i should be proud of but struggle to find anything remotely close in pride as joining the navy. I'll forever be a failure and encouraging all of you new comers to stick it out. Life's not better on the other side.
EDIT: not posting this for sympathy. Just a warning to the next group of future sailors. Its all a mind game. Focus on the little stuff. Everything they say matters

Am I Screwed

Am i screwed out of ever being hired. Have a military discharge from a year ago for suicidal ideation and PTSD during bootcamp and have one driving ticket of 25 mph over. Not reckless just speeding. I turn 21 in next month. Am i fucked out of ever being hired especially a mega. Also unstable work history. Was not all there during my younger years

Not so good discharge and MSC

Would a military re3e code for suicidal ideation and ptsd from a year ago stop me from Military Sealift Command Career? Its a general discharge

Any local trucking gigs in Indianapolis?

Hello everyone. Just got out of cdl school yesterday and looking for the best local jobs. Don't care A or B just need something while applying for linemen apprenticeships. Anyone in the Indianapolis region had any luck finding local gigs after school? Any responses would help

Thank Y'all

Last time I made a post on this sub I got roasted to death for asking how to become a groundman. Made me realize I needed to figure some shit out on my own. Since then I've enrolled in cdl school and for all my other certifications Osha 10 ET&D, OSHA 30, Flagger, and CPR. How long did it take ya'll to get a groundman call. I'm in Indiana but making a road trip to Illinois, Ohio and Kentucky in a month once im 21 to sign the books. Just curious on everyone's wait time.

Would you all consider this neglect?

Basically I'm a 20m raised by a narcissist father. Was overly sheltered and controlled while he lived this miserable life and pretty much failed at everything. I was basically taught zero life skills and was never allowed to leave the house and learn and meet friends and socialize because he was "worried" for my safety. Confronted him about why he never bothered to teach me the smallest things and now struggling real bad at work currently in hvac. He claimed I didn't show him enough love and appreciation and that I never listened when in reality he can barely do anything himself. Im about to move out and pretty terrified however would you consider this neglect. I have zero self confidence.

Anyone else's Narc Parents call you rude whenever you don't tell them everything your doing thinking or feeling

I mean shit I just want to exist in the house without being interrogated about my every step. Explain to them its called a private life and all of a sudden I'm the worst individual in existence. I can't be the only one. Im 20 and escaping in a month to do OTR trucking but damn it gets old

Do Private EMS companies run in depth polygraph tests like law enforcement?

Worried about getting rejected for some mental health stuff a couple years ago that might get flagged. I just passed my NREMT and looking for a job. Been two years completely stable and off meds since last suicidal ideation thought. Just worried about a potential polygraph test.

How did becoming a Cop Change your life

Hello everyone. I 20M have recently showed interest in becoming a cop. Im a new Christian. Most of my life I have been a loser without much direction. Feel this unshakable calling to serve my community within this field. Im a little nervous about what the job entails but Im sure everyone is when there first getting started. Did a ride along and really enjoyed it. Felt like I was experiencing a line of work that can really make a difference within my community. How did the job change your life for better or for worse. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
