1. The origin of the universe

Rosalina created the whole universe and accidentally created kamek her arch nemesis. Kamek finds bowser and creates the koopa troop with magic. The start of the timeline is yoshis island and goes on until galaxy. Mario and Bowser wager a war and both are so powerful this war might destroy the universe. Rosalina then has a choice to make then she splits the timeline.

2. The timeline split

Rosalina splits the timeline in 3. The first timeline is what I call the nerfed timeline where Rosalina makes Mario and bowser less powerful and this timeline has all the mainline games. The second is the friends timeline where Rosalina makes Mario and Bowser friends and this is where the spin offs happen. The last is the bros timeline which is where the Mario and Luigi games take place.

3. The bros timeline chaos

In the bros timeline the games go superstar saga, paper jam because there are minimal references and nowhere else to be in the timeline. Next is bowsers inside story because when we see the shroobs frozen Mario and Luigi only talk about their adventure as babies and not adults. Then a split in this timeline happens because if E Gadd never makes the time machine partners in time never happens. After partners in time comes dream team because bowser gets beat up by Mario and Luigi at the end of BIS and cant use his suck powers so he recovers in PIT then gets them back in dream team because he recovered from his injuries. Finally comes Brothership.

4. The holy paper book

The holy paper book is the paper mario book found in paper jam and its in every universe. In super paper mario Dimentio is created with darkness and in the final battle kills Mario and is able to become the ruler of the book. Thats why a huge shift in the paper mario games happens. He creates universes with Mario and a villain because each universe needs a purpose. He fills the world with toads they are either dumb people just to fill the emptiness or a spy to keep tabs on Mario. Mario is in a constant loop of dying and being reincarnated in a different universe.

5. the corrupted timeline

In the nerfed timeline some of the darkness that made dimentio spills out of the paper book. It corrupts Mario making him weaker, makes a few buildings haunted, and creates king boo. This is where Luigis mansion happens. At the end of Luigis mansion 3 the corruption is gone.

6. universal rules

Each universe needs a purpose. Mario and bowser exist because thats the Mario universes purpose of existing. Each character cant die. They use one ups toon physics etc. If one of the anchors of the universe Mario or bowser truly die the universe hits the reset button and starts back at Yoshis island.

This is a crazy theory about how the Mario games are connected and tell me your opinions on it.

It all starts with Rosalina whos basically like the goddess Hylia in Zelda. She creates the world and accidentally made her arch nemesis Kamek. It starts with Yoshis island and Bowser was created by Kameks magic along with the other minions. The timeline which I call the mainline timeline goes on until galaxy and there is a huge split. In galaxy Mario and Bowser wagered a war and Rosalina was scared it might destroy the universe so Rosalina made a branch in the timeline. The first is just making Mario and Bowser weaker and this timeline I call the nerfed mainline timeline and this timeline has all the mainline games. The next one is like the nerfed timeline but Rosalina forces Mario and Bowser to become friends and this is the friends timeline and this is where all the spin offs happen. Next is the bros timeline where after galaxy the Mario and Luigi timeline is there and in that timeline there is also the holy paper book which Rosalina created and all of Paper mario is in it. Its like the matrix and in super paper mario dimentio is created with darkness and takes over the timeline making himself the Rosalina of the paper book and takes over. (I would go more in detail about the bros timeline and the holy paper book but if you want to know ask me). Luigis mansion happens in a corrupted bros timeline where the darkness of the paper book leaks out and corrupts the world making some places haunted and Mario gets weak and thats why he gets captured in Luigis Mansion. The donkey kong games and Wario games have nothing to do with these games so you can put them anywhere in the timeline.

I’ll post this to both the Mario and Luigi and Final fantasy sub Reddits. I’ll tally the votes and post the answer to both subreddits after a week. Say who will win in a fight and why. who will win the goofy bros or the one winged angel?

for me (pls dont hate) paper jam is actually good. Dont get me wrong the story is a joke and there is no original characters. But the M&L formula is still there the system is there just with Paper Mario. And the gameplay is SO good, in battle and bosses having paper Mario just makes the game really fun. It’s still there worst Mario and Luigi game but THATS because all the games are good this one is just the weakest

Its a challenging boss were the challenge is fair and your responsible for your mistakes. Plus its fast paced similar to mantis lords and the double damage here is a challenge which forces you to learn all the attacks. Yet I see it in mid range in quite a lot of tier lists and no one really talks about it can someone explain to me why?

I think its impossible to add him to smash due to the silky smooth movement of the knight. Hes too smooth and I highly doubt he could be added to smash because of that.
