Everyone should know about Imodium

I'm always surprised that people who come to the sub don't know what Imodium is. Imodium is available without a prescription in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Ireland. (I didn't check for other countries). The generic name in the U.S. is "loperamide". It is a safe and effective treatment for diarrhea. It is a wonder drug and has saved countless lives. It is a relatively inexpensive medication. I got the generic at the supermarket for $11 for 25 pills. The pills are tiny and easy to swallow. If you take other medications, ask your pharmacist about any interactions. If you use it daily (like I do), ask your doctor is that is ok for you.

I've been enjoying a series on YouTube "Unsung Heroes of Illustration". Most of the artists featured worked during the Golden Age of Illustration from the late 1800's through WWII. All of them were outstanding artists and made themselves an excellent living illustrating books and magazines. The range in styles and subjects is vast from fairytales to high society to cowboy life and much more.

I am a long-time IBS sufferer. I started taking Aleve to help with lower back pain. All my symptoms got so much worse - especially gas. I checked and GI symptoms are a potential side effect of NSAIDs. It's something to watch out for if you take them regularly. Aspirin doesn't have those effects for me.
