Advice on how to handle the 'fatty mass' in my pug's shoulder
I have a four-year-old pug named Gracie Bell. About 18 months ago, the vet noticed a lump in her shoulder we had somehow overlooked. It was quickly diagnosed as non-cancerous, a fatty lipid deposit, so the vet attempted to remove it surgically. It turns out the deposit was embedded in shoulder tissue and the surgeon was unable to remove it. The vet said to keep an eye on Gracie's mobility over the next few months, and while she is as spry and playful as ever, the fatty deposit has spread down toward her paw the last few months. At this point my vet seems stymied, and I'd like to reach out to the dog community to ask for possible solutions.
