Don’t people realize that their tires are the first, most important part of automotive safety?

It never ceases to amaze me how many people neglect tires. Drive them under or over inflated. Ignore uneven wear. Drive on them when their useful life is long gone.
These folks have little kids in their cars and put themselves and everyone else on the road in danger.
They will complain about the price of tires while wearing $200 sunglasses or carry designer handbags. And have “sleeve” tattoos.

Priorities are mixed up.

When I was 18. My dad literally disabled my car from driving one time until I had new tires.

Choice beef short ribs

I want to smoke these this Friday.
I’ve never done them before. I have every confidence that I’ll do fine.
Does anyone have any tips, seasonings, temps and time in smoker?
Thanks in advance

Why is it that no matter what you post. Whether in fun or serious, there is no shortage of a-holes that have to suck the fun out of everything?

They are the type of a-holes that explain the real side of a freaking dad joke.
The guy that sits in the theater saying how far fetched a Walt Disney movie is.
Yet takes all of the Star Wars movies as gospel truth.

Hey DIY electricians! Can I make something perfectly clear?

Getting a shock is NOT getting electrocuted!
If you are able to talk about it. You got as shock. If you get electrocuted… everyone else will talk about it…. At your wake!

My panel make-up

I helped on a weekend at a job site I wasn’t at through the week. So the site Gorman just said go land this panel. It’s an easy thing to do so you don’t have to get familiar with the entire site.

They said. “We don’t need to hire an electrician. We have guys in our maintenance w that can do the easy stuff. Don’t we?

He said. Our guys can do the easy stuff just as good.

This was a tv outlet I found when starting a remodel

The “disability “ we share and My thoughts on it.

I didn’t do much fact checking here. The following is 100% my personal opinion.

In the state of Arizona. Being HOH is not considered a disability worthy of a disabled parking permit. I kinda understand that. Many of us are not physically disabled.

Yet being HOH is absolutely a disability. It’s a disability that is not visible to the eye. That being said, I feel I deal with discrimination more often than someone in a wheelchair. Usually people are empathetic and helpful.

But the few that aren’t can be especially irritating. I was at a car wash and told the YOUNG attendant I didn’t need his help. He tried the sales pitch. And was asking questions in a rather loud area.
I again told him nicely that I knew what I wanted and didn’t need his help. He still tried the upsell.
I got mad and asked him to go away and let me be.
The machine then kicked my debit card out onto the ground. I then told him in no uncertain terms to walk away. I raised my voice and now was drawing attention.
He accused me of being aggressive and he was scared of me. lol.

So we get some level of discrimination quite often. And it can be extremely frustrating. Just handle it and move on. It’s really all we can do.

I am legally deaf without my hearing aids I need help p getting those around me to understand.

I started noticing hearing loss at around 46 yrs of age. I’ve worked as an industrial electrician since my early twenties. I had hearing aids by the time I was 48. My hearing has gotten steadily worse. Hearing aids still work well for me.

I have had tinnitus all of my life. I don’t know what life is without it. The tinnitus has gotten severely worse as well. 3-5 different whistling tones with 2 others that come and go but beep like a back np alarm on a garbage truck.

During my down time in a day ie. tv time. Morning coffee. I hear a constant droning noise similar to the sound on a commercial airliner. Not really loud just there. When I go to bed and my hearing aids are in the charger I literally tell my self that a loud furnace fan is blowing.

I tell people about my hearing issues and tell them how best to communicate with me. They just need to speak clearly and in my general direction and it helps if they face me so I can read expressions and read lips.

VERY often when I tell people that I have severe hearing loss … the get a grin and say huh? What? And chuckle. I know that they are kidding. But I have heard that joke 10 of thousands of times over the past years. I control my emotions because I have to. I’ve lost my temper a few times with co workers and friends. That is when they FINALLY get it.

I had one guy get furious with me because he thought I was inappropriately staring at his wife’s face while she talked to me. She had a soft voice and I needed to “hear “ her.

How do I get those closest to me to understand? Tonight my wife was talking to me about something and she’d made a statement that sounded like the end of the conversation.

It wasn’t evidently, she got very upset at me for ignoring her. When I try to explain about thinking she was done in the conversation she still was mad.

So then I got mad. I’ve had hearing aids for 16 yrs. I feel that my wife (of all people) should be most understanding.
I explained (a thousand times) I don’t ignore her. But she won’t be empathetic and say …hey I have more to say. Instead she assumes I was ignoring her. So tonight I got mad out of frustration and raised my voice. Now she’s mad because I yelled.

How do I get people to understand????

Strange sandwiches.

I just mentioned that my father in law loved bologna on 2 day old glazed donuts cut like a hamburger bun. I thought he was crazy till I tried it. It wasn’t half bad.
What crazy sandwiches has anyone else made?

I like pb& j on my belt for example

Smoked Tombstone!

I have a treager pellet smoker. I add ingredients to the meat Tombstone frozen pizzas and add extra cheese. And put it on the smoker.
275 for ten minutes then raise the temp to 400 to finish. It’s a great taste for a frozen pizza.

I’m partial to Tombstone pizza’s because they are arguably as good as any others and better than most. I also helped build the Tombstone factory in SussexWisconsin.

Not a smoker but a good “win” story

I was driving and saw this on top of a full garbage can. I stopped and set on the bed of my pickup.
When I got home I checked it out.
This Webber travel grill uses the small gas bottles.
The side shelves fold in under the lid.
It has 2 cast iron grates and an accessory cast iron griddle
Roughly a $300+ set up.
There was a note saying its dangerous do not use.

The burner was completely clogged with grease oil, bugs etc.

I bought a new burner on Amazon for $20.
I use tho grill all the time. Coking for just my wife and I. It’s awesome!

Tri-tip Sammie’s!

Tri tip smoked 9 hrs on Treager at lowest setting.
Covered with yellow mustard to hold the rub spices on the meat.
Then let it rest. Sliced it thin. Added saur kraut. Priceline , 2 onion rings.
Was awesome!
