And this is a recurring stat/message when he does. I guess I love the man, goddammit.

Glasgow Barras gig…

I somehow ended up being asked to get Glen a pint (I am Lou) and then he gave me a couple of records towards the end of the night. I looked for ages after the gig to see if anyone had captured the moment on social media but could never find anything.

Just been sent this and it made me so happy to see it, but so sad all over again.

Resale tickets UK

Hey folks

I sold 2x tickets for Jimmy Eat World at Cardiff Castle on Ticketmaster resale platform. They sold within 30mins on Thursday 30 July.

Any idea when the money will land in my account? Getting mixed messages from their site… seems in the US it’s post-event but in the UK it’s sooner?

Any real life examples would be appreciated!

Cheers.

Order of service

Anyone there today able to share a pic of the order of service? I’m watching along and would love to identify the musicians/speakers I don’t know.

“Much younger” cv age

Saw a post from earlier about cardiovascular age which made me check.

Mine has been dropping for last couple months (training for a marathon) and got to 15 years younger before it just dropped to “much younger”. For context, I was doing more strength training start of the year as had a strength event in summer. Now not lifting as frequently and more focused on getting the miles in with lifting more focused on injury prevention.

I’m 36F. Relatively fit but I wouldn’t say incredibly. Eat relatively balanced but always have a few drinks on a Fri/Sat. Ex-smoker.

Does it just stop giving you a figure after a while? Have I broken my ring?

CV booking but package holiday cheaper…?!

Hey folks. My head is scrambled - please be kind.

We’ve had BA blue Amex for just over a year. Had to let first CV go to waste as we’d no time to use it. Just got second CV for use before June 2027. Happy days.

Trying to book a Caribbean holiday for Feb/March. looking at St Lucia/Barbados/Bahamas. We can get the flights using CV for around £300. Sounds good.

But then booking accommodation separately is insane price - and often more expensive or broadly similar to booking a package for flight+hotel with BA. Other providers (LoveHolidays etc.) are even cheaper.

Am I missing a trick, or am I being very dumb? We can’t even use the CV to get a decent European holiday flight as we’re in Glasgow so by the time you factor in travel to any of the other airports south of the border to get a BA flight, there’s not really much point as you could do a budget airline flight from Glasgow/Edinburgh for same price (if not cheaper).

Starting to wonder what is even the point of having this card in the first place as it all just feels geared towards making me spend more money with BA.

Stress consistently high…

Had my ring six weeks and, every single week, my cumulative stress has increased. I’m currently averaging four hours of stress a day… with most stressful days being the weekends when I’m not working and generally spending most of my time chilling out!

I know it only tracks physiological stress and so this isn’t necessary a reflection of being psychologically stressed, but I’m getting a bit annoyed with this supposed stress (which I’m not feeling) absolutely decimating my resilience - I’ve gone from exceptional to solid in the last three weeks.

Is this a calibration issue while the ring gets used to my baseline? Surely this kind of thing differs from person to person?
