How do yall stay awake during a shift?

So having trouble with staying awake during work and sometimes it feels like everything is moving in slow motion; I already tried energy drinks but it doesnt work. Is there anything that is stronger than energy drinks.

debating on quitting this fuck ass job (when i have another one lined up)

On sunday I was scheduled to come in around 1pm, when I did they had nothing for me to do the entire day; i wasn't given a register, I wasn't given tasks, so I was just there (not that i minded i was getting paid to do nothing). But I got called into the office and was asked to do an extra 4 hrs ontop of the 8 hrs I was scheduled to do.

I woulda said yes but i did have somewhere to be after work and when i said I could work to a certain time they looked at me as if I was crazy. They tried to negotiate with me but I was firm with the time i needed to leave at. So they gave up and accepted the time i needed to leave at which was 9.

Im on the last 2 hours of my shift and was told by a manger that im leaving at 9 15, I corrected her nicely only for her to put words in my mouth saying I agreed to to 9 15. I corrected her again saying I needed to be somewhere at 9. To which i then heard her talking shit with the other manager about me.

on top of that they get on our asses when we dont take our last break; so when i noticed i was close to leaving they got angry when i asked if i could take my break, then got angry AGAIN when I came back from my break they sent me on late and i had to leave

sorry if it sounds like nonsense just really annoyed

Why did you charge me extra!?

So this happened yesterday and feel the need to share, at work the other day I was working register and had gotten this idiot of a customer. First off he gave me a shirt that had no price tag and on top of the he was bugging over the tiny really tiny hole on the shirt.

So I knew to ask my managers before I did something they both told me to charge a dollar for the shirt and i think 10 percent off??? Which is what I did; making sure to also mention it to the customer which he was okay with. I told him "Hey ignore what ever extra charges like the 18 dollar one, since its me fixing the price. Remember the shirt is a dollar, 10 percent off, and its finale sell."

I made sure to fix the price on the shirt and deleted the extra charge when I did i hear "AY WHY DID YOU CHARGE ME 18!?"......so I did not care if i was being rude and blunty stated "I just told you...dont worry about the extra charge....i was going to fix it.."

He got mad through the rest of the transaction since i charged him for the bag THAT HE GAVE ME...

So i have back to back night shift starting today, and I will honestly sound like a child for complaining about it but I really can handle night shift; I used to have them back to back at my old job and it was a giant mess due to having to fix things from my coworkers left behind (it was a simple mess i had to unclog a toilet because she flushed a pad down the toilet), so since then I've started to have resentment to it. How can I ask for morning shifts without sounding like a complete idiot.

So Im 19 and have part time job (trying to find another one) and my mother started to expect more money from me already; before you guys think I'm dramatic I pay for her bills, like gas, half of water, and the wifi bill. In total i think i give her aroundd maybe 270????? So thats my paycheck gone.

Yesterday shes took me to work and basically stopped me from getting out and asked me for more money; I had so little in my account and just gave her 54 up front knowing if i only gave her 30 again shes flip. It didnt bother me at first since I am going to get paid regardless this upcoming week.

After work I was going to get myself food but only had so little money which i need to stretch out for a day or two (things are expensive), my mom noticed and asked me what was wrong; i told her I was basically broke and had nothing. She then started to rant!

I dont mind my mother ranting I get you need to get it out your system so go for, during this rant she explains how SHE needs support (as if i havent been giving it to her), she then tells me she wants me and needs me to continue helping. I questioned her on it and she explained how shes basically in debt due to divorce.

I then got irritated due to being painted as someone who doesnt help, so i asked if she asked her son to help her; she stayed quiet. So i asked "so its okay to call me un-grateful and unhelpful but you have a grown man rotting away in his room because he doesnt want a job?"

I made her cry; I already try my hardest to help!; I can only do so little. (edit i forgot to mention that she and her son decided to go on a road trip using my money instead of trying to conserve it)

Small rant, dealing with a random shift lead currently and I dread going to work because shes there during the weekend; she started to become more of a POS lately and started to throw my things that I'm working with/on then blaming ME for not getting it done or blame me for things going missing.

It even got to the point where a customer paid already for a item and one of those items had a different tag on; I didn't notice since I had to leave already and was in a rush, last min the security decided to inform me as soon as the payment ended. I ofc told him that I already gave the lady the items and she paid already and didn't know what to do after.

After a while he tells the lead and i told her the same thing, all while shes trying to touch my things that im trying to clean and telling me that i have a messy station....I leave it as it was honestly and as im clocking out she tries to stop me from doing so.

She tried to make me stay longer again and kept asking me who said i could leave....she has the schedule in her hand, claiming that my time changed...if it did no one ever informed me of such, now i have to go in today as a opener with her.
