How I imagine the Mechs would greet us

ISPN: It's all shiping with them, so Captain felt on brand.

SSC: Their heavily inspired by Japanese and Chinese culture, so Master felt thematic.

Harrison Armory: They're soldiers, so short and curt meetings are expected.

Horus: Their very alien in their design, so keeping them detached from humans is on brand.

GMS: Extremely common and customizable, so just pick what ever greeting you want.

Edit: I'm realizing that I should've put the manufacturer's logo when representing them, instead of the 1/2 size mechs.

So f*ck it we ball, I will be doing every mech. Later though, I have [NONDESCRIPT PRACTICES] to get back to.

How I imagine the sizes of the mechs

I read on a wiki that a Pilot's head should be over a Size 1 mechs's knee. If this is true or not, I cannot say due to their being no source, but this is the rough idea of mech sizes that came to mind.

Knight houses in Fantasy world

To set the stage a bit, I will be explaining the world building.

The world, called "Mithera", combines magic with semi-modern tech. Think about how electricity is used to power stuff and replace it with mana, so toasters and radios are powered by magic.

Culture and tech wise, their in the medieval ages. So noble houses and blackpowder rifles are mixed with mana powered lights and cars.

Alright, stage is (briefly) set so let's get to medieval knight houses.

There are a big 3 knight houses that have territory and bases in almost all of castles in the "Coalition of United Races" (basically the U.N. as a single Empire/country). Meanwhile minor knight houses occupy either groups of settlements or are a vassle of a major knight house.

The biggest knight house in manpower (on paper) is House Dorlok, aka "Black Dragons". House Dorlok is the standard for knights in the setting due to their specialization with medium armor and military technology. House Dorlok began as the other major knight houses began, when the "Janus Empire" conquered the major barbarian tribe and broke them into houses to join the Empire.

House Dorlok is the main manufacturer of standard military gear and guns in the Coalition. A feat the accomplished by turning a castle into a giant forge and mining outpost, this castle being named "Sikeraks" and being their noble family's home. House Dorlok, despite being kind of basic, are the main inventors in the Coalition due to them believing magic is a crutch used by people who don't want to learn new things.

House Dorlok knights are the standard for all knights, so every knight is equipped with a: Blackpowder rifle, sword, flintlock pistol, and cleaning kit. All the while wearing medium style armor with steel plating covering everything but the face. Dorlok knights are trained to set up a 2 line, maybe even 3 line if they can set up enough, of fire and volley fire at the enemy until their dead. Only using melee wepons when absolutely necessary.

This is actually how they earned their nickname, Black Dragons, due to the amount of smoke and powder they cause staining the front of their armor black. While the nobles of Dorlok urge their knights to clean and polish their armor, their finger and sometimes their hands are always blackened. Both out of style and consequence of handling powder.

House Dorlok is actually credited with the creation and manufacturing rights of the Blackpowder rifle. While other houses have technically different rifles, Dorlok rifles are the best rifles in the Coalition. While their rifles are the flagship modle of blackpowder guns, Dorlok also created cannons, motors, and rockets (big fireworks).

House Dorlok also makes different types of blackpowder with different properties, and due to the volatile nature of blackpowder. Many inventors have lost fingers and hands for their craft, but many see this as a right of passage for a proper inventor.

House Dorlok also has 2 ways of thinking that directly contradict eachother. Half on the house thinks that the design and make the their rifles and cannons cannot be improved any more and that they should focus on refining their powder and ball bearings. Meanwhile the other half belive that the make and design of the rifle is flawed and should still be improved, with radicals of this way of thinking that they should get rid of the rifle design entirely and start new.

Thankfully, this is a background issue for Dorlok and has only caused a few barfights and snide remarks. But this issue is slowly growing and sooner or later the House will have to choose a side or let their House rip itself apart.

Wow, this was a lot of words for 1/3 houses. I will probably make another post for the other houses due to the absolute length of this post.

Why I love Rogue Trader Pt: 1

When the new DLC released, I decided to go through another playthrough of RT; and I am learning why I love this game again.

For this one it is the: WEIGHT OF DECISIONS AND WORDS.

I love how almost every meaningful decision, and some non-meaningful, decisions feel. From the pro-log we are given a meaningful choice and the start of our run when we meet the totaly real and not deamon in a skin suit "Theodora Von Valancius" at the burning bridge.

This is a perfect because it introduces us to the... what is it properly called, I don't know, but I call it the "alignment system". This not only introduces the alignment system, but it also shows us how our actions effect other characters. Like being able to link up with the other heir or getting the voidsmen out of the fire.

In the end it doesn't matter, but when you make that choice and see the blue words across the screen. It makes you more immersed into both the game and the situation at hand.

___________________________________________________

In chapter 1, we have 3 destinations with 2 of them being tied to a major decision.

Do we go over to the space station to get a navigator, or do we go to Rykad minoris to get manpower and tech-priests? A tough decision on where to go, because the 1st destination you go to will be easier and smoother, while the 2nd will be harder.

But all of that means nothing, compared to the "Oh sh*t" moment when the Dark-Eldar steal the sun and we got 10 minutes to G.T.F.O and not enough time to properly evacuate. That moment to where you're trying to think on what you can scrap together in time before you leave will always make you think; "I should've [BLANK]"

___________________________________________________

In chapter 2, where to proper game starts, is where most of the actual game changing and role playing choices lies. I won't try to go over all of them, but I will pick out my favorite.

It's when you get a random officer talking to you about how some of the rabble are getting angry at the enforcers for over punishing them. Sauerback says "Tough" while Abelard is trying to say that this is beneath the Rogue Trader and that it is his job to keep everything in check.

You could just do nothing and let Abelard and/or Sauerback deal with it, or you could take a look for yourself what is happening. While I will skip over what happens due to this already being very long, at the en Abelard will get miffed and say that he, under Theodora's rule, did this without troubling the RT and that it should continue to be that way.

You can either agree with Abelard, or disagree and tell Abelard that you are the RT now and he better keep up or get left behind. Depending on what you say, when every there is a problem of your ship, Abelard can be fine or, again, miffed, with your interference.

___________________________________________________

Again and again, Rogue Trader always makes me feel like my words and decisions have weight, and always has me thinking about how this is turn out.

Human Farms [part 1.5, the set up]

[ ALERT, GALAXY WIDE MESSAGE FROM GRAND SPACE TRAVEL ADMIRAL "QUAL SECT" ]

Greetings fellow captains and admirals, this message will be about one of the newer species that has been inducted into the G.A.C. (Galaxy Allied Collocation) the Earthlings, or better known as Humans.

Hailing from their cradle world of Earth, the Humans have quickly become the GAC's best explorers and traders in the known and known parts of the Galaxy. Humans are a bipedial, soft bodied onmivores that have quickly became a Galaxy sized sensation, as most new species have done.

Now, onto the reason for this message, should plan to have a Quàxen, the GAC's best pilots and engineers, and a human on the same ship, DON'T.

The humans seem to have a Universal Distrust about any Quàxen, no matter the subject. Some psychologists and Xeno - studies groups have theoriesed that the humans are experiencing something they call an "Uncanny Valley".

But more intensive study have shown that the Quàxen resemble more of a human extinct species, a Pterodactyl ( though bipedial and an extra set of arms ) more closely than "Human". So more research must be done.

But that will be all, and make sure to keep the Human and Quàxen species away from eacother and, if you're ship is big enough, in separate sectors.

Keep safe and watch for pirate and void beings, this is Grand Admiral Qual Sect, signing off.

This will be an informative short on how to play with your Loud Helldivers as a Stealth Helldiver

1, Go the opposite direction. As the Stealth player, you should (mostly) be by yourself for 90% of the mission. So when you drop into a planet, see where your other 3 Helldiver are going, and go the opposite direction.

2, Don't call for reinforcements. When your fellow Helldivers die, don't call for reinforcements; let your other Helldivers call them back in to get their stuff back. Also, for completionist sake, when all 3 other Helldivers are dead, it is fine to reinforce them back in.

3, Barely use the resupply. Your other 3 Helldivers are usually in the middle of a fire fight and are calling the resupply off cooldown, so just scavenge around hotspots. You will probably be the only one to go to that place, so you can be greedy with those supplies.

4, Do any side objective 1st. Any side objective, that is not in the way of your other Helldivers warpath, are to be immediately done so that your other Helldivers stay on their side and don't f*ck up your stealth.

5, If and when reinforced, stay for the fight. When you die and your other Helldivers reinforce you in the middle of a fire fight, help them out. Throw a few statagems and take out key targets cause your other Helldivers are currently clearing chaff units. And the fight is over, get your stuff and go back to what you where doing before.

6, Don't force your Stealth. If this isn't your day and you've died 5 times in a row with no success, stay with your squad.

[ Speech from Emergency Council session, contains agrument for preserving the Terrian Race. ]

"People of this Galatic Court, I float hear to speak against the enslavement and production of the Terrian Race.

These Terrians, who call themselves Humans, do not qualify as animals and are infact, a sapient species. The humans that the Quàxen have shown us have been broken down and effectly lobotomised, they refuse to show us what a actual human looks and Talks like.

Humans have a rich and complex social, political, and military structure and you just have to look at them before the Quàxen arrived. They where blooming into their space age, colonizing their local Solar system and even had plans to Terriform a planet. But after the Quàxen initiated 1st contact, all that went away and their main planet's moon was harvested and their species has enslaved.

Even if you want to ignore their blantent regard for 1st contact protocols, the Quàxen have already planned and researched the most efficient ways to exploit the human body and planets. For the body, they plan to psychically torture them for their unique chemicals, such as 'adrenaline' for combat stims, 'steriton' for recreational use, 'Melatonin' for chemical warfare, and more. And this goes much further than just chemicals: a humans blood is a energy rich liquid, their stomach acid is very potent and easy to produce, and their other organs can be used as replacements for many other species.

This regard for life and the explotation of species is common among the Quàxen, and while they have been able to hide behind laws and the "Sapience Scale". So, everyone, I pled for you to free the humans and punish the Quàxen for their crimes.

[Voteing Scores]

[ 21 voted for "Animal Terrians" ]

[ 6 voted for "freeing and uplifting humans"]

[ 53 voted for "Resetting human progress"]

[Actions, Terrians where put back into their solar system and no longer enslaved by the Quàxen. The humans where mentally reset aswell so they will be able to forget what happened.]

[Voting Scores]

[ 30 voted "Punish Quàxen]

[ 48 voted "10th law violation"

[ 2 voted "Quàxen expulsion"

[Actions, the Quàxen's 1st contact rights where taken away and Quàxen had to make a replica of the Human's lost moon]
